well nothing to say bad things about these "Jeeps", cause what is sold is whats in demand.

there are lot more people who buy these "Jeeps" than people who want 4x4s versions of these "Jeeps"!

so they are built and sold cause there is demand for them. even M&M and TATA build more 4x2 than 4x4 vehicles.

i dont blame the manufacturers of these "Jeeps", cause they build whats asked for!

anyway no offence to any hardcore Jeeper (like myself)!

cheers:

This shouldn't be an original CJ (in that case it wouldn't have been mayapuri with a new series of number), though the curve has been well attempted to copy from actual one.
Now, these jeeps have really been overdone (though better than dabwali I guess) but there are many people around who want to make their MM 540/550's look like the CJ7/Rubicon etc (and no harm in that I think, its finally up to the person). So if some of these jeeps (not all) are toned down, I guess they will be no more in weird mod category. However, chopping down the CJ3B's to make WWII low bonnet lookalikes, is definitely a crime as this has led to gradual shortage of those wonderful original jeeps. Attached is pic of an original CJ(5)

You are right there. It is a KAISER. My friend used to own one. The curve headlamps on the front grill is a give away. there are very similar to the 550/ 540 but have a much shorter chasis. Excellent off road vehicle, unless the dealer has removed the 4x4!

SirAlec, Yes, That's a Kaiser.
It was butchered in Mayapuri, with an aftermarket
diesel and 4X2 conversion.
Sometimes i really want to strangle those buggers

hahahaha, to think of some guys calling me up for my jeep in the classifieds and refering these Mayapuri jeeps, hahaha, i pity those guys and their "GYAN" about jeeps. theses jeeps from Mayapuri do have a lot of ' MAYA" and ' Bhel PURI' in them

No comments! Everybody has their own taste and concept. I think they are designed according to customers requests.

Randeep any clue how much do they ask for that CJ5 (kaisar)

yeah, loads of those. Some refurbished ones also you may get to see. Actually these place is a good hangout for anyone interested in jeeps and gypsies. There is a very old restaurant in the area which use to serve the best category of burra kabab, another temptation for the non-veg foodies
