It does not have USB. iPod can be controlled by purchasing an iPod adapter seperately.

ahhhhhh!!
was looking to replace the factory 2 din on my car.
I went through amazon, was sorely tempted by the multitude of 2din av units.
Finally listened to my heart, that so what if its a bit more expensive,at least pioneer's a known brand.
just bought the AVH3200DVD.
Damaga?
19k!!
not bad at all!!

cant wait for it to arrive.
(sorry, bought in the US and getting carried over by someone to delhi, hence the price)

gonna use it with the factory speakers in the fiesta for sometime.
so i guess those will be the next buy!!!!

Is it possible to replace the integrated audio system in SX4 with a new one which has USB port?
Any idea how much would it cost and could anyone give suggestions on any brand?

Os is there any workaround to get USB connected to AUX port. I am feeling sheepish to ask this question since I/P is in digital format and I want O/P to be in analog.
But if there's any option available, I would prefer to go with this (mainly because of cash ;-))

Hey mayankk,
Thanks for that.
I have read about it in T-BHP and other forums that the quality of the sound is not at all good.
I know I cannot ask for high quality O/P on a low budget.
Are you aware of any connector/adapter or something of that sort to shove the O/P of USB to AUX port? Replacement will be quite expensive, right?
Since it's Maruti, they may say warranty on all the wiring will be void

i really dont think its a possibility.....
you must have gone through this one:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/produc...apability.html

try and source a more expensive unit of this,if available at all.

or............you can carry out some slice and dice on the innards of this unit and remove the transmitter stage, and put the output directly to the aux-in..
just a thought, sounds interesting enough, and its only 300-400 bucks now.
worth a shot.

and if it works,do let everyone here know...

@bkbkr1212:sorry, missed the first part of your question.
one of sony's gtx series(dont recall the model) with usb and aux in is available for around 8k in delhi, with the accessory guy's "warranty".
should fit in nicely in the sx4.

So guys, what is the best VFM head unit at following price points:

Under 7k
Under 10k
Under 15k
Premium

I know we have different definitions for VFM, however a look at what's available tells me that most head units in a similar price range tend to have similar set of features, plus add-ons.

I will in all probability go for a Pioneer 5250 (installer insists), though I have heard of better reviews for Kenwood in the under 10k range.

Buy a USB thumbdrive kind of MP3 Player (Transcend has one, has a tiny screen and it plays FLAC too) and connect it to Aux In using a 3.5mm stereo cable.

Not really. Quite a few, like Alpine 9887 (and its 2010 replacement), Kenwood 8016 etc. are less than that. In India, not US!

The Kenwood 8016 costs around 18+, the Kenwood 7016 cost around 13+. Both have TA in them.

The other models are 8013 and 7013. The 7013 cost 13700. This also have TA. This is a very very good head unit.
