Lets discuss the fight of the future consoles here. I guess both of them have been released in India (not sure about PS3) ?
Which one would you go for, (provided ofcourse you got the money and passion for console gaming

)

Has the PS3 been released in India? If so, whats the cost? Also, is it backword compatible with PS2 games?

I think PS3 is slated for November 2006 launch..
Anyways,looking at the configs of both machines,I would surely wait for the PS3 instead of an XBox 360.

PS3 will be released only in Nov 2006. havent played on the ps3 so i cannot tell (wat you see on paper and what you see for real might be different) games on the xbox 360 looks great and far far better than my old xbox.
hey pc games arent that bad either depending on how good a pc you got

PS3-if seeing the specs on the two boxes amd considering the late release of the Ps3 I'm sure they'll come up with additional features and stuff once its on the market to destroy xbox360,plus the fact that titles on the Ps3 will release earlier as well

ps3........... provided the prices arent tht high. its much more advanced as compared to the xbox360. only problem is tht ittl be expensive cos bluray discs are gonna be tough to duplicate

BTW im a big big sony fan

i would prefer a PC any day...
just make sure you have the right configuration...
and nothing ca beat it...

I owe ps2 slim and it rocks. well, its very tough to play first shooter games on game consoles. but I really like GTA - san andras on ps2. haven't seen xbox 360 yet but i certainly won't by ps3 for $650.

yeah.....its difficult to play FPS games on consoles but u can attached ur keyboard+mouse with the help of some software whose name i forgot.lol

but u can ask it in techtree or some other forum.

ps2 slim is a killer.the best till now.sony always rocks.except in car audio.

Played the PS3 in October at Sony showroom in Ginza, Tokyo.
Maybe it was the game I played (golf), but I did'nt see what the hype was all about.
I got to see (not play) a lot more games on the PS3 at other stores but it was nothing spectacular if you discount the fact that the screen was a Sony Bravia. It was good no doubt but not saliva-dripping, eye-glazing, mind-searching-for-which-FD-to-break kind of good.

On a related note, I played a lot on the XBox360 consoles at these stores and ended up buying one because the price was right.
