Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

Any places to sell old PS3 games? I have a few, some even in sealed condition.

Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

Just checking as to where we can buy Nintendo Switch games, either online or at a physical store in Bangalore? My 12 year old son has been gifted a new Nintendo switch by his cousin ( bought in the U.S), but it doesnt come with any games as such. I think there are some demo versions, but thats it. We tried checking for games at CEX, but they seem to be quoting something like 4k for one game ( i believe the console itself does not cost more than 20-25k).

Since my son already uses an XBOX, we don’t want to go overboard in buying games for the nintendo switch, maybe one game that can keep him busy for the near future.

Congrats and welcome to XBOX family. If you dont plan to do online gaming and dont need EA play subscription then Game Pass for Console is the better option. It will give you all the Gamp Pass titles to try out. IMO game pass core is useless as it has very little collection.

Not sure of your location but cdkeys is a good site which I have used many times.

You can buy switch games from Eshop, however it'll be through an Eshop gift card or via credit card billed in dollars. Never tried it but this is the way around.

CeX isn't wrong quoting 4k for games, Switch games are tad expensive & hold the value, their range starts from 2.5-3k per game.

I have the questionable software version, which means games are free, as am a casual gamer and spending 3-4k per title doesn't make much sense.

Try the Gameloot site for games. I got a few Mario series for my son from this site and prompt shipping and quick delivery. No affiliations to the site apart from being a customer. You get either used or new games at good prices and you can sell them back to same site post playing.

Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

I wanted to play Fuel on my Xbox Series S. Unfortunately, EA has delisted all games by CodeMasters.

Since the Series S is a download-only model, I am unable to use any of the physical disks available on Amazon or eBay.

Can someone point me towards an Xbox redeem code for Fuel?

1) What version of Playstation should I buy? (budget around 45k, also have the option to get it from Canada in the next 2 weeks)
2) When I check on Amazon I see just one hand console, will I have to buy an additional hand console (need two)?
3) Will FIFA come pre-loaded, or will I have to purchase it separately?
4) What additional hardware would be required?

Thank you!
Not sure if you've already made the purchase but I was in the same situation for PS5. After a few days of surfing I figured the following:

1. PS5 Slim Digital edition is better to buy where you save 10,000 bucks.
2. I compared pricing between US and India. The cheapest in the US was a Costco deal at $474 with two controllers, dual sense charging station and the Spider-Man game. But after investigating a bit more, I got to know that a game bought as a bundle in the US will not work in India, unless it’s been activated on the console while in the US. So be careful of buying a game bundle version from US/CAN. Secondly, I was not sure I needed a second controller, as most of the time we play singles of any game, mainly Need For Speed, GTA and Call of Duty. Then even the dual sense charger was ideally not required. The deal was still good enough but I have realised it's best to buy these things in India.
3. Came across a good deal on Reliance Digital for the Slim Digital edition for 40K less 5k discount on an offer. Net, got it for 35k albeit with one controller. It’s been a month and we don’t miss having the disc version or a second controller.
4. PS Store has some awesome deals a couple of weeks back with up to 40% of on games. The advantage is that it remains in your account and can instantly switch between games without the need to switch discs. The new slim edition can be upgraded anytime to the disc version by separately purchasing the disc drive.

In all, I would suggest buying in India, as good deals keep coming between Reliance, Amazon and Vijay Sales.

These are my two cents and hopefully, helpful in making a decision if not already done yet.

Cheers!

Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

PlayStation often has the edge with titles like God of War, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us. On the other hand, Xbox shines with services like Game Pass, offering an incredible library of games for a flat subscription fee.

Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

I am looking for suggestions and ways to play Xbox games (especially Cricket and Fifa) on my Samsung S8 Tab using a Xbox Controller. It is being said that Xbox pass is only available for Desktop/Laptop and cannot be used over cloud in India as yet. Can someone help confirm or suggest ways to play Xbox games on Samsung Tab?

Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

Hardware-wise, both are pretty comparable, though the Xbox Series X edges slightly ahead in raw power. If online gaming is your thing, both have solid networks, but Xbox Live has been praised for its reliability over the years.

If you’re still undecided, consider what your friends are playing on or what ecosystem you’re already invested in. And once you’re set up, tools like StealthCore can enhance your gaming experience with custom optimizations.

Re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

Well, this is the biggest surprise of 2025...

Even with PS5 prices being obnoxiously high, the only reason to buy an Xbox would be gamepass (which in itself is a huge plus considering how half hearted PS Plus is) if this is actually launched.

This does not excite me as much as it would have a couple of years ago, given the direction in which both Sony and Forza as a franchise are heading.
(Also because I still use a PS4.)

PS: This is the PSN app, so this is quite official.

It is official indeed. I believe MicroSoft direction has changed to being a third party publisher than a console manufacturer so expect pretty much all the games to come to other consoles. I am hyped by this news and expect it to followed Halo, Gears etc.
