The first run when she did 10.5 was with a co passenger ( Farokh Commissariat ) , it was just a trial run.

So guys, take a bow..Refer to the thread 1200 bhp skyline, where all of you ridiculed me when i suggested the car had the potential to run under 8 second, which I still maintain.
Something interesting here for everyone. Check the link below.

CRD Gallery

They call it the 8 second car themselves. I dont know where this guy saw it run below that time.

I had come for the speedrun on saturday. My friend was competing in the 2stroke bikes category. Well one thing i noticed this time was there was some sort of shade provided in the pit lane which was a welcome gesture but god wat was the pricing of the food items inside the venue! Yo china were charging chowmein at 50 bucks and water at 20 bucks but sprite was being charged 40. Were they planning on recovering their yearly losses in a day or something. Pit lane was nice but we could not watch a single event from there nor was ther any announcements of timings. Well did guys in the pit lane come ther to bloody look at peoples cars and jus laze around eating overpriced junk food. We were there on a purpose so something should be done. Badly organised one and also the MC was a pain. He told this one line a million times " This event is all about speed and speed in brought to you by BPCL" Looking at the arrangement i decided not to come on sunday as i reached the venue at 6.30am and our event was over at 5.30. Great right. The 2 strokes were noisy but it was fun as these guys actually put in a l;ot of hardwork to get these timings.
Tvs racings guy did 13.1 second on a shaolin overall was 14++
My friend clocked 15.1 second on a rx135 but had a bad start with a reaction time of 1.01 secs. Well saw a smile on my friends face as he was very passionate about it so i could stand the entire day there. If it wasnt for him i aint goin there again.
P.S It can be called Navi Mumbai speed run.

It was fun though the organisation did leave a bitter after taste and left much to be desired. I do have a few videos of the Drag Skyline & of Jitu/Jiggy's cars, shall post them either tonight or tomorrow when I get home.

Jitu, i wasn't aware that you were running nitrous for the 2006 bangalore run, was under the impression it was NA, hence did not see a serious drop in time.
Anyways, you had a good start, a slow second gear and everything seemed to roar in the third. Was that a bad gearshift, or something else?

Btw, what time did Chirayu's red civic do?
And, forgot to mention Monkey did a 15.2xx in his first run, missed the second. Any times there?

manson.

I was about to film your run but one of those JBL umbrellas was about to fall on me. By the time I took care of that you already took off .

just had a chance to get sneak peek at the GS's Skyline engine

the tuner said that it was running at 60 % power (800+ BHP)as they did not want to run it at full capacity as there wasn't any competition at all and they didn't want to overburden the engine when it was not needed

its a 1200+ BHP skyline with 2 speed automatic transmission (Tiptronic) and runs on 116 octane fuel

it needs to be revved at 6000 RPM for the launch and to get to that 6000 RPM mark, it needs to be given a Nitrous shot

at the Speed run it did 0-100kmph in 2.6 secs at around 100mtrs and was at 230kmph around 300 mtrs mark and shud have ended with the top speed of 330kmph at 400mtrs mark (estimated)

it did the run in 9.2 secs including the reaction time (8.7secs to cover the quarter mile)

Are you sure it was 9.2 secs including reaction time because I thought it was 10.xx with reaction time

Who ever told you that, if it were to do the 1/4 mile in 8.7 secs it would have been doing around 250-260kmph at the most.

Heck, the Red Victor with 2100bhp did the 1/4 mile in 8 secs flat at 183mph (292kmph)

To do 330kmph at the 400mtr mark, the car will have to cover that distance in around 6.8 secs.

Yeah true, coz the timer usually gives the ET without the RT. Did anyone see 8.7 being displayed on the timer?

as mentioned in my post its was estimated by the guy a spoke to... but then someone else interrupted saying it might have been around 280-290 mark...

now this was all estimations as the charts had the details only till the 308mtr mark and it was doing 230+... dont rem the exact time at that instance

but if at all if there is any chance of me getting more details will surely post them

the Skyline did 10.xx in the 1st run..everyone could see that he had a bad start.
in the 2nd run it did 9.5 and in the 3rd and last run with the blue supra it did 9.2. The first two runs there it was struggling to go straight at the start, in the last run it went straight like a bullet.

@ Shan2nu. 9.2 was displayed on the timer.
