Yeah, just that the slight improvements will include replacing the hood, the HL's , the taillights, removing the spoiler, the rear bumper, may be rear boot, repainting the alloys, and the atrocious interiors.

Esp. the alloys (by plati) and the silver grille. And someone actually bought it.

I thought A-Star's rear was its ugliest part, but here is a solution for making the front end equally ugly. That is looking horrible to me. Now dont tell me that someone actually bought this also, that too paying a premium over the regular A-Star.

I've seen this same a number of times at Malakpet. This contraption has been photographed a couple of weeks back, but my phone went KAPUT!!! and I lost all the pics. However, I do remember, there was some crazy mod on the rear too. Unable to recollect but it was there for sure.

Have you anytime seen a Black colored Lancer with a custom made Mesh (made out of KABUTAR JAALI ) attached to the spoiler. I saw it once at Malakpet and it has XTREME written with neon, fixed on this mesh. Everytime he slammed the brakes, XTREME would illuminate.

The Lancer wouldve looked really cool if the owner does away with the hideous pop-up-mimic headlamps, uses the original headlights and masks the overdose of red color on the bumper with black matt color - on the fins, air dams, the la-subaru impreza wrc spoiler & especially the diffuser.

Infact, Lancer is one car that looks really really good when modded correctly and you can get oodles of mod-stuff for it in the market, but the owner of this disaster had no idea what he was doing!

The scissor doors look cool though. shouldve added a sunroof too.

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

spotted this "Skoda" station-wagon.initially, i was wondering which model that was but later realized it was just another wagon with the front-end off a skoda.i think even the tail-lamps are from a skoda.the mod-job looks kinda neat though.
or is it actually some old Skoda station-wagon!?

Skoda had released a station wagon sometime back namely Octavia Combi. Which didn't do good in sales.

I'm sure of the above base car, definetely it's a Rover Montego Estate saloon, which was released as Station wagon, along with the Montego sedan.

About the Bimal A-star, I have no words to say. Really poor taste.

This is just unpardonable!!!!! He's ruined one of India's rarest cars,
the Montego Rover Estate. Such a subtle and perfect car has been ruined.
I wonder why people need to do such crimes. Again, really poor taste.

might be, but i have a feeling this was done out of necessity, and he made do with the best fit possible, that looked the least wacky.

Its paint scheme is definitely weird. Has he done any mods on it, except a sun-roof like thing?

That Amby is really quick, wonder if it's a tuned 1.8 isuzu or maybe something else altogether under that hood.

Instead of making the Amby look like a Ramsay Brothers horror movie stunt car, they could have simply made it a sleeper performance whacker.

Just imagine a subtle looking antique car flying by the other cosmetic modded wannabe cars!
Would give all the onlookers this
