SA needs 134 to win. AB, please promote yourself and finish off the match.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

Really sad to see the approach of SL today. What a bad farewell to the two greats of the game - Sanga & Mahela.

I have no idea what went through the planning - dropping the in form Thirimanne down the order and getting Kushal to bat the way he was an open invite to the Proteas. He could not put bat to ball and things just went downhill from there.

SA bowlers have bowled well though, must give them credit. All predictions seem to be coming wrong, unless we see something even more dramatic.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

SA will do a first today,
Either they will their First Knockout match in the World Cup on the very same ground where they lost their first ever knockout match.
OR
They will lose a match chasing under 150 for the First time.

So they are on the verge of creating a small history apart from already created one by taking the first ever Hat-trick.

Folks get ready for a mouth-watering NZ v SA SF.

Just got a message from someone that Jayawardene, Sangakkara and Dilshan had taken 'The Last Supper' along with the SL team.

By the looks of how SL vs SA clash is going. We will have a battle of C-tags on 24th in Auckland Who would believe that SA made a match out of this with spin and we were thinking they had a strong pace battery.

The final SL score looks similar to how SA were thrown out of CWC '07 by Australia.

I watched the initial stage of the match. SL batted as if they had 300 wickets. SA were bowling fast, but the way SL approached, wicket could fall for any ball. Against spinners it was like warming up for catch practice session. Sangakkara could have scored a century today but he didn't have any partners.

Surprised that why has SA not opting for Batting Powerplay. They surely can't carry it forward to the next game.

It seems SA, while avoiding getting choked by SL has strangulated them very badly.

Not a cricket fan these days but still love SL, SA and NZ. Sad to see SL play so badly. What were they even thinking? Thirimanne was playing well and why did they change him? Couldn't even fathom some of the stuff happening. And Sangakkara was playing like in some test match.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

A sad end to the illustrious careers of Sangakkara and Jayawardene, a walk to the finals would have been more befitting the legends.

Surprised to read Anjelo Mathews comments about how nervous were the SL when it came to batting. This was in total contrast to the team which introduced pinch hitting in the first 10 to 15 overs.

Hope SA does retain their momentum against the next SF qualifier.

Thankfully someone else who shares my sentiments about these ads. I found even the first ad disgusting.

Maybe our prayers have been heard as I didn't see any Ad so far on Ind v Ban QF or they realised that if Ind meets Pak in SF and if India loses it will be catastrophic.

Let's hope Ind beats Ban tomorrow comfortably.

Yes, and then we can look forward to a "mini" Finale with an India-Pak or India-Aus Semi-final
