Not to dump clutch like in small hatch as there's lot of torque with SUVs.

congrats, thats a real jump to scorp, and if my memory is working, it is the 4th one in the forum? second SLE variant (first one red_liner)?

Total cost

Ex-show: 822009/-
Road Tax, Registration: 37550/-
MCD Parking charge: 4000/-
Insurance: 13664/- (I transferred the insurance from my wife's old car with a 35% NCB. Took the Scorpio in her name. Dealer price is 33462/- If you negotiate with the dealer/insurer you will get a maximum of 35% discount. I approached Reliance General Insurance without dealer intervention and got 40%)
Corporate discount: 7000/- (varies between 4000 to 7000/- depending on the companies in their list). you have to produce your office ID card and visiting card to claim the same.
Extended warranty: 9999/-
Total = 880222/-
Discounts = None - But if you bargain hard (I mean really hard) you can get a Gear Lock free. I got one (Mahindra price of Rs.2850/-) after I gave the bargaining charge to my 'Home minister'
Downpayment = 10000/- (The dealer started with 51000/- but I decided not to pay a penny more than 10K. He eventually agreed)
Delivery Time = 1 week

just being curious - what is MCD parking charge of 4k?

You have got a nice insurance deal and a hard&small bargain - well done!

Yup, they decided to give the beast a silver tooth.

hehe, almost like old people who love to get teeth filled with gold and silver as against our generation who would prefer to use normal teeth colored filling.

Some other minor changes as well.

the best change was the addition of electric RVMs. the front & rear bumpers were changed & now look better. the new 2 din tape is a good addittion as well.
