Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

Hi Jaisha, disappointed to see the service feedback.

3rd service will have all those work carried out during 2nd service repeated including Oil change, Filter changes, Wheel alignment etc.

Btw, did you upgrade the AC kit and CSC to steel ones ? If not, they should have changed these when your car was at TASS.

Also, check what is the state of your brake pads. Many in the forum have changed it during the 3rd service (approx around 25000 to 30000 kms).

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

I got a new set of shoes for my Linea from Ludhiana through my brother. These are 100 PCD alloys with 8 holes. My brother tried it on first on his Palio and then arranged it to be transported to Kerala. Attaching herewith some images of the new full Chrome alloys on my Linea.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

Jaisha ,nice alloys but I am not a fan of chrome alloys but the design is nice. But I love the OE alloys of the Punto and Linea very much. What about the cost and other details.
I think you love chrome very much. Also please remove those iffy looking mud flaps.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

I came across this in Zigwheels, comparsion between the 3 top Diesel driven cars in the market at present. Not surprised that Linea has emerged as the best in the verdict. You may read as below.

COMPARISON Volkswagen Vento V/s Maruti Suzuki SX4 Diesel V/s Fiat Linea MJD.
Verdict: A matter of taste
While they may share the common trait of being diesel-powered compact sedans, the three cars going head-to-head remain distinctly different, offering totally unique experiences of driving and being driven in. The Fiat Linea Multijet has now been around for long enough to establish an enviable street-cred, and remains a car that does almost everything well – from looking good to driving exceptionally, right through to offering a comfortable ride quality for all occupants – and offering all of this at a price point that undercuts the competition significantly, making it the best value-for-money proposition in this lot. The Linea remains your do-it-all diesel sedan, and has good days ahead so long as its makers keep reminding the forgetful market about how good their car really is.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

You will face problems with 100 PCD alloys even though they seems to fit fine. My friend did the same for his Punto and reverted to stock alloys in a weeks time because he could bear the judder on the steering after putting in the aftermarket alloys. I would advise you to keep yours and not sell them off.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

Though I have had some hiccups with the service centre regarding my Linea, the performance of Linea is unmatched. Here are some photos.

Good to see an update after a long time. What were the issues you had with the service center? Hyson is setting up the exclusive service center in Cochin so would like to know more about them. Also had seen a pic of your Polo in VW Facebook page with the leds. I too own similar rides.

I had some AC problem. They found a leakage in the pipe & only an O-ring needed to be changed. But they changed the whole AC pipeline assembly. Then there was clutch problem, the gears wont shift and no pickup. They changed the clutch slave cylinder. After that once the car wont start. Their road assist came and tried but still couldnt & had to tow my car to the service centre. A relay had gone and they couldnt diagonise it & was quoting 15000 to replace the fuse box kit. When I went to pick up the car, I noticed that the bumper has been scraped in 2" radius just below the RH headlight. I called the CSM and asked him "Why is it that everytime, I give my car to you, you give me something to bring it back again". He was arguing about it & finally agreed to paint it. But mine is a vocal white and they will never get the matching colour and I decided against it.

How much did it cost to rectify the relay issue? Both the AC O-ring and clutch slave cylinder were replaced in my car too. Everytime I give my car for service whether its Hyson or Concorde some scratches here and there seems to be complimentary. Although the quality of work is better with Concorde. These guys don't cover the panels during service and as a result we get scratches here and there.
