This time when I got home I noticed on the front panel board one of the buttons (Boot opener) was pushed inside. I tried to retrieve it but couldn't. So I took to Hyson motors and they removed the panel assembly (as in photo below) and found that the holder for the screw is broken. As they didnt have the spare right away, they ordered a new one for free replacement under warranty. After 2 weeks, they called me that the Panel has arrived and replaced it for free. Now it is fine.

Also I called RF motors to know if my car needed the replacement of Clutch Slave cylinder and the confirmed that my VIN number was in their list. So I booked a date and went to RF Motors, Cochin. Reached their by 7.30 and they were not even open. But the security personnel was very courteous and allowed us in and gave us the ticket. As my Service advised was on leave, another guy came and attended my car first in the morning. They took the car by 8.30 itself for replacing this cylinder. By 10.30 am the advisor informed me that the job was done. In the mean time they offered coffee. As I had my laptop I was busy with that. But it took theym 1.1/2 hours to complete the job card. But as I had nothing to do I kept my patience. My dad also accompanied me and we got the car at 12.15 pm.
I could really feel the difference. The gear shifting is very smooth now. Usually before I used to feel a jerk while shifting gear from 2nd to 3rd, but now it is eliminated. Good job by RF motors.

Good work by A.S.S. Only down side I can see is that for removing one component, whole panel including the CD player has to be removed.

Yes you are right. The whole front panel assembly had to be replaced, but it was free of cost, so no worries for me.

While going to Cochin (RF Motors) my Linea clocked a mileage of 25.5 kmpl. I was monitoring this from the moment I started from home. It was going at 20 kmpl and so I controlled my speed with less gear shifts and no braking and then I noticed that this figure gradually improving and when I got 25.5 I had already reached RF Motors. When I checked with the service advisor regarding this, he said there could be a some plus or minus variation but these are almost accurate. It was hard for me to believe but the figure says it all.

MID of both Linea and Punto is accurate to within +- 1-2 kmpl. So what you got is fantastic mileage. Seems like Fiat was really stung by the negativity of Palio being a guzzler and have gone all out to address the issue.

Jaisha,
This is possible and I have also achieved these kind of mileage many times.
This time Fiat really has made their cars more FE than racing cars earlier.
This is same with all other Linea owners and MID is making every Fiat cars more FE by letting its owner, how to drive it.

I'm wondering who'll turn more heads - the Linea or the bride/groom .

That car is looking really great.

Thanks recshenoy. You don't even have to mention it, the head turns that Linea got. My car was getting more attraction than the Bride & Groom. All people from both sides were coming and asking my driver about the car, but there were also lot of others, who was eyeing the beauty in silent admirations.

Jaisha,

The car looks gorgeous.

Be careful when you give your car for weddings of near and dear ones.
The normal tape may leave a black sticky adhesive mark on the car's paint which is very difficult to remove (more so on white color ).

Thanks bnzjon. I knew the local made tapes would leave adhesive mark, so I had given a 3M cello tape to the driver to use for sticking the flowers. so there was not even a single adhesive mark on the car when it came back.
