Yes, if the kms has crossed 15000 mark then they can argue that it is harmful for the car and it is justified, but in my case it has run only 9500 kms and what difference it would make if it is 4 months overdue as the car is still got a long way to reach the 15000 mark. Anyhow if I am right, Linea comes with 2 year warranty and in another 6-7 months that would be over. During this period I should be extra careful.

What I meant to say was: At times A** can adjust the servicing if the km are beyond 15000 but date < 1 year as they have to put entries directly into TATA CRM. I am not sure, if your warranty would be void if you do not service < 1 year even though the km are less than 15000

I think four months is too long a time lapse. Your SA is right that in free service only labour charges will not be billed. You have to pay for consumables any how.

Now most of the Lineas in this forum are more than a year old and most of us must have already changed some spares by now (may be during service, due to accident or for maintenance). I am attaching an excel sheet of Linea spares list. It would be a very useful file if you could please add the prices of any other spares other than what is on the list (under Miscellaneous spares) and re-load on this thread. Even if it is a tail light bulb, no matter, please update on this spread sheet and all of us would know the prices of diffents spares for Linea.
I haven't had to change any parts as of now, hence not put in any. Please do not mention service parts as those parts are already on the list and extra accessories.
Appreciate input from all those who have had to change some spares/ parts.

Linea owners in and around Trichur. Would you be interested for a get together in October end? There is nothing Official about this to do anything with TATA/ FIAT. Its only a get together to meet each one of you and also to discuss some of the niggling issues / problems and also solutions for them and of course have a good time. There have been similar meet in Chennai and elsewhere. So just thought if we could all meet. If interested please join in. Even members from any other part of Kerala are most welcome to join if you can make it.

Note from the Team-BHP Support Team : Please use the "edit" button if posting within 20 minutes of the first post, instead of creating another back-to-back post.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

My Linea would be 2 years in April and recently touched the 10K mark. So far I am a very satisfied owner as regard to the performance of this car. But off late I am some electrical problems.
My central lock remote stopped working. I had taken it to FIAT A.S.S at Hyson and they repaired it. It worked for one day and next day again it stopped working. So I called Hyson again and they informed that I would have to replace this remote assembly. It costs approximately Rs.8000/- he said. They asked me for the Mechanical & Electronic code (the blue card that we get with the car). I dont know how come in just 1.3/4 years the remote failed.
Also another thing that I am facing is when the media player is playing, if someone opens any of the car doors, the sound stops. The media player or Radio is working but there is no sound coming from the speakers. If we open and close any of these doors a couple of times, it would start again.
Just wished to know if any of the Linea owners faced such a problem before. If so, please advise. Anyway I will be taking the car to A.S.S. when I get home next month. But in the mean while if you have any suggestions, please free to advise me accordingly.

Attaching below some recent photos.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

Hi jaisha8, we're looking to buy a Linea , hopefully next week. What has the *** experience at Hyson Motors been like, so far? Do things get too messy with so many cars to cater to? Been there a few times, and I think theirs is probably the busiest service bay in Thrissur.
We've owned a Santro for over five years now and KTC Hyundai has been very prompt and courteous with their service, and the car itself has been quite troublefree; even minor issues have cropped up only recently, after 60,000 kms on the odo. Hoping for a similar ownership experience from the Linea!

Sorry to hear about that. I've not had such a issue in my Linea. But shouldn't the remote be replaced FOC since it is still under warranty I believe? I am afraid the second issue might just prove to be a handful for the service people unless they have someone who knows the system in and out.

Yes, you are right, Hyson is always busy and if you get your car early by 8.30 am to the A.S.S you can get it quickly if the fault is minor. I wouldn't say they are the best, but they are getting there. I have had no problems with them so far.
Are you going to get the Emotion +? Regarding the car in particular, I can vouch 100% on the performance. R u getting T-Jet or Multi-jet?
Wishing you Good Luck.

Getting the Emotion MJD. Need to keep the running costs low, because I'll be living on a meagre stipend soon. Hope your car's issues get sorted out soon!

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

I find it very surprising to note that you've only completed 10k+ kms in almost 21 months. I feel, you should have bought a Fiat Linea 1.4 FIRE NA in first place.

I feel great to know that you're satisfied with the car, ignoring the two issues.

We've a Fiat GP 1.3 MJD and we're also facing some troubles with the remote. The remote will not work at times, and we have to use the keys to open the doors. We've reported the issue to our dealer Marina Motors, Calicut and we're having discussions with them. It seems to us that they will be replacing our Remote FOC under the warranty. Period.

IMHO, ask Hyson Motors to have a detailed look at the problem and ask them whether they can replace the Remote under the warranty or not. If that doesn't help, try sending a mail to Magesh Kodalkar and other higher official. it will help you for sure.

PS: The Premier Padimini looks as if it is very well maintained. Is that powered by a diesel or petrol engine?

Congratulations on the Fiat Linea 1.3 MJD.

Going through your posts, I guess that you are not aware of the 'Fiat Referral Programme'. (Please see the attached image)

Since you have booked the car from Hyson Motors, Thrissur, you can ask whether Jaisha8 or any other Fiat owners are interested in referral. It would be beneficial to both of you!

My case is totally opposite to that of Jaisha's.

I did 24000 kms in 18 months of ownership in my 1.4 FIRE.
I should have bought the 1.3 MJD.

I did just 12000 kms in a year in my previous alto and SX4.

Yes, my problem also started the same way. It will work at times and finally it stopped working. Hyson has agreed to replace in warranty and hence taken my code numbers. My SA advised me that it has to come from Italy and they dont have it in stock anywhere.
My Padmini is Petrol engine, driven 54000 kms so far in 15 years.

Re: My Fiat Linea experience - Vocal White.

Even I had problems with the remote. Last service I showed this issue to the Concorde guys and they did something. It failed again but only for once. They have asked me to change the batteries if the issue resurfaces.
