Should peruse as its one tough restoration job but the outcome would be great. Also one expensive restoration job not to mention

Asking these purely from an academic perspcective, for a concourse quality restoration what would be the approximate expense?
Also how much will you value it in this condition?

Apologies but there are better experts than me to judge the value and price and restoration cost

Cheers

from my experience, think of the highest figure you think it might cost, then triple it....

Wow. An armstrong featured on a supercar page. Poor guys obviously have never handled an armstrong. Sluggish, and a steering guaranteed to build your biceps. Pleasing picture though.

This is a 50's Chevrolet 1/2 ton truck, later iterations of which were popularly called the Apache. Going by the small(er) hood emblem and the egg-crate grille, I'd say its a 1955 model.

Wonderful find. Hope its a runner. Is this part of someone's collection?

Looks like a 1956 model Chevy Stepside pickup. The pic seems quite old though.

If this is the same truck I think it is, it used to be blue and white, in long term ownership and very original. Attended a rally years back and was scoffed at (as I learnt from some post earlier on the forum). I also saw an ad in a magazine recently advertising for sale.

IIRC this truck was originally blue and posted by someone in the forum before. They said twas once driven to a Statesman rally @ Delhi by two young Sikh mundas (boys) who said it was their uncle's vehicle and he got it from South Africa many years ago or something. Unfortunately, the 'organisers' at said rally refused to allow a 'truck' into a vintage car rally and humiliated them openly!
