Any clues as to what this beauty is? Very handsome car, registration is Pune. The photo came from Nashik, though it wasn't necessarily shot there.

This picture has been seen earlier and was identified as a Horch. Probably a Horch.

I don't think it has been posted and identified on the forum. Ive been debating whether it is a Horch from day one, but no confirmation.

Incidentally a senior in our circles vividly remembers a Horch in Pune with a Parsi doctor.

Looks rather British to me, like a Talbot.

Is it an Isotta Fraschini? Note the unique shape of the front fender - viewed head on.

I have actually seen this picture somewhere before but don't recollect the name of the car.

I don't think it is an Isotta though.

I would go with a late 1920's or 1930 Cadillac / LaSalle. You can almost make out the square V8/V16 badge on the bar between the headlamps. The "Automobiles of the Maharajas" has a couple of similar Bikanir cars pictured. On to the experts!

I am almost certain this is a 1928 Cadillac 341 / V8 phaeton. The mouldings on the rear door and the tool boxes above the running board are characteristic. The 1929 model had mudguard (fender) mounted running /park lamps. The licence plate is probably "NARSINGARH-1"

There used to be an Opel Rekord of this model and the exact two-tone colour combo in Calcutta, in the Fort William/Hastings area in the late 70s. Only, that car was a sedan (this appears to be a station-wagon?).

Yes you are correct this car is a station wagon.

A while back I bought a set of photos where this picture was included. Any idea which car? Registration is pre 1940. Looks like a grand sedan of some 'Seth'.
This is a nostalgic pic and needs identification. Since I am not clear about the answer, I felt that this is the best thread. Depending upon response I would post more old pictures of anonymous cars.

Cheers harit

A superb picture indeed. Quite unique looking. I guessed either Graham or Willys, but can't find a match.
