This will probably have a slant 6 engine.

Cheers harit

Experts please
not realy sure but the rear grill gives me thought that it could be an old VW Ww II timer being pimped ! because the fender designs look self fabricated.

It is a 68-69 Dodge Dart. Could be a Swinger or GT or GTS.

That yellow car parked next to the BMW is a 1970 Plymouth Duster. Judging by the black hood it's probably a Duster 340.

These pictures were posted on the forum years back. I cannot recall where or by whom, but I faintly remember location being Bombay.

It looks pretty imposing, and most likely British. Can it be identified?

It looks like a Bentley or a RR liek the Jaipur continental in design.

It would have been much easier to positively ID the car if there were clearer pictures of the engine or the wheel lugs

That bar in place of the front bumper is very strange, probably the bumper mounts on it.

Where is this car now ?

I would guess that it is a large MG, VA?
Not an Alvis.

While such mudguards have appeared on Bentleys the rest of the body simply doesn't look like one. MG VA seems more like it. Just googled an image of a VA and the rear fender is similar in how it blends into the body

VA seems most plausible, though the split rear window seems odd for an MG of this vintage.

The body is a bit too large to be an MG even the VA.

Also the VA bodies have concealed door hinges

Could be an MG SA though which has a remarkably closer look with the exposed hinges too and the twin rear windows. But even the SA doesnt have a boot mounted spare as is visible on this car

Notice the Omni next to it. A larger car would have dwarfed it. This is a small car

Our old friend Julian had earlier posted these pics of an MG SA (?) saloon lying with Raj Seth in the 80s.

I think we have a positive identification - what say?

Yes Karl.

The car in questionis definitely an MG SA now that you have posted the old pictures maybe these two are the same.

It is definitely not a VA for sure though.

Now the question is where is the car.Going by the fact that it was getting restored one would assume someone would have seen it out and about.

What a gorgeous car. Love it !

Just imagine if this thing had been a convertible it would be way too gorgeous. The sedan itself is fabulous

Wasif I don't know if you remember but Najaf's (the bike guy) father had a large open top MG. Trying to remember it I think it would have been a MG SA. It was a really large car for MG's
