Hi Anjan,

Is this the same white Chevelle which was lying in junk in Nagpur? If, then the restoration is excellent!

That car is seen in many of his movies. Recently the car was lying at a Lamington Road garage for sale. The owners are/were a dubious duo from the Eastern suburbs. The amount of rust it had was not funny. I dont believe its sold.
Gogi, the car has been picked up by a fellow BHPian Benson.

Hey Gogi Bhai, i have just picked up this Holden Monaro (Prem Nath's car). The car is in running condition. The Transmission is not fine but the guy said he'd fix it before he delivers the car. can you give me more info on this car.

Thanks

There used to be a lovely dark blue Monaro in Delhi, at the petrol pump outside IIT. A grey n white Barracuda also used to stand there. I knew who owned the 'Cuda. The Holden, am not sure, although I heard that the mechanic there, Satish who did up all these cars back in the day, did. The 'Cuda went to Bombay (I could have got her then for 65K but rumours of it being a lemon detered me, sadly). What about the Holden's existence thereafter, anyone? , saw a Kingswood in Delhi recently, after ages. Loved these cars.

Hi,

this is Premnaths Holden. I had picked up the car from the duo sellers. price was 4.5 lacs. but thanks to Gogiji, who guided me to walk out of the deal, i picked up a much better japanese sports car from the same people as i had already paid money. Money on holden would have been lost. The body was so badly rusted and the guy has put lambi all over and painted over it. body had cracked in a few places. transmission was completely gone. Meters were not original. many more problems.

I think its running contessa gaer box now, so did the guy say. And he did mention that he sold it to a pune fellow last week for 4 lacs.

Dear Prabal,
Correct Opel Record Olympia, pre 1961 as that is when Goa was liberated. Import of cars stopped after that.

All the four rear view mirrors are not original in this car.

Which year? If 1964/65, I have side glasses somewhere. Because I bought a scrap Caravan and took parts for my sedan. Just let me know which year. If possible, post a photo for all to share.
