Thanks I did search forum on this and have gone thru 2 of the above 2 posted links and following closely few of the BHPians 550 threads closely.
But not very clear on the specs for the particular model for year 2005

Engine - XD3P.

T/C - T18

GB = KMT90 or BA10 or NGT 520/530 ?

Did 5 speed avatar on MM550 started in 05 or 06 ?

Hi Sreeni,

The NGCS MM550XD came with a NGT520B from 2006.

IIRC Sreejesh's War Horse came with a NGT520B .

Could that be the 4x4 version of the BA-10, as used in pre-NGT 4x4 Armada/Bolero/Scorpios? If so I'm assuming it would take the Borg Warner TC; the splines and mounting pattern look strangely familiar (I've got the Armada Borg Warner in the Marshal)...

Actually it's a mahindra adapter plate.

That is indeed a NGT530R. The bell housing is large and meant to mate to the mHawk, with the slave cylinder inside it.
The New NGT530, that comes in the That, the bolero storm and the Xylo (all there with the 2.5L engine) shares the from part of the gearbox housing with the 530R. The real housing is different.
The older 530 was a close cousin of the BA10 - came with the 2.6L CRDe engine..

I am a newbie here. I have a strange problem. I own a Scorpio Getaway 2011 make. My problem is the electric shifter is not properly working. Is there any way to change it to manual shifter? I have seen a guy fitted with shiftster on Armada Grand in the forums, but shiftster site is not working. Any options there? Kindly help me.

The shiftster is a crude mechanism for which you need a trap door to open and put your hand below. It is not a practical solution.

There is a person in pollachi who makes manual conversion for the electrical borg warner. Please contact him. don't wire any money ahead.
go there and get it fixed. Cash & Carry.

There is also a senior Borg Warner employee who is plugged into the off-road/automotive community and he will help you to diagnose and fix your t-case problem. I will ping you pm you his contact details.
