I knew a jeep was coming, but never expected a CJ3B with a Petrol Heart!
Congratulations Jaggu.

Where do You park her btw?

Edit: The repainted colour looks way better than the original one and do I see a dual tone in the 5th pic?

Jaggu,

You have been lecturing me to get a Brand New Gypsy and you go out and get a CJ3B?? I guess, you were not after Bullet Proof reliability huh? , so, did you pick the red pill or the blue pill? Welcome to the real world!!

Dear Jaggu - I am envious of you now. You have acquired my favourite vehicle, the CJ3B. Best of luck. There is a lot of information floating on it already and other BHPians will of course help. If you need anything, you can call me anytime.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

PS - "something" happens to me when I see a CJ3B. The same "thing" does not happen when I see a Merc.

Hello Sirji,

I was under the impression, that you don't feel that "something" anymore.

Similarly, SOMETHINGS happen to us we see a NGCS MM550XD. The same thing does not happen when we see the THAR.

Regards,

Arka

Congrats Jaggu, I think it was inevitable not buying a 4X4 with all these offroaders in bangalore. Enjoy your ride and drive safe.

Do tell us what all things you have done.

Btw may be its me, but I feel the Olive Green looks and as I learnt recently n a Jungle Trail with DKG, the colour blends very easily with the vegetation. Could you elaborate a bit on the RTO paint story?
You can say that again, all my purchases are from the heart, head somehow goes into hibernation the moment i walk towards a vehicle.

RTO (in BLR) doesn't allow olive green on civilian jeeps, so when we approached for FC and name transfer they said a big NO. Had to get the color changed and then everything was aok.

In hindsight, must say that you have been lucky to get such a nice jeep as such examples are getting hard to come buy.

Happy jeeping..!!!

PS: One of the rarer situations where the restoration process starts with the paint job and not the mechanicals :-)
You know whom to kick for this purchase, right?

Congrats again and happy Jeeping

That was my advice to you, coz i have done a whole lot of thinking, debates, calculations and finally the purchase. Why let it go wasted and if i knew about your ideas, i could have taken care of your baby. But unfortunately deal was done by that time.

Jaggu,

No sweat.. that's what this forum is all about - really appreciate your inputs. Like the old saying, the journey is more enjoyable than reaching the destination. I enjoyed every bit of doing up my Jeep and got it exactly the way I wanted it (well, almost!). I liked that journey so much, I am itching to get started with the next one.

Good luck and happy journey!

Sweet ride. Looks pretty neat. Seeing your posts in many a threads here somehow made me think you would buy a CJ3B. And it happened. Congratulations.

Congratulations Jaggu. You finally got what you wanted after all that searching and a Hurricane at that. I like the new colour too. What are the upgrades you are planning? Dwarf is sure to rock the upcoming OTR's.

Drive safe and have fun Jeeper Creeper
