Go and buy it straight away. You won't get even a good Alto at that price. Clean 2003 M800s cost more than a lakh in these parts of the land. The 1 lakh may be the depreciated price or the present asset worth of the Sonata.

Don't think even twice; Go and Grab it.

It can command five times that price as scrap even.

Even the service bills are available.

The double din music system is working.

Now I am going to buy it.

Thanks for the advice.

46,000 kms, VIP Number, Single owner car. Friend bought it for 5 lakh rupees net. Smooth revv-happy engine. Simply can't beat the value! I'd give the overall condition a 7.5 / 10, but VFM at 10 / 10 rating. After all, this is a car that will easily last for 200,000 kms, if not 300,000.

I really dont think so. I have looked around for seras, Celicas & miatas recently. Horrible condition and fishy papers. Nearly impossible to source a clean peice

Friends
In Delhi I am getting a Honda Accord-V6, 2006 make with 75K on odo. Well maintained car with complete service history. The car has original paint with only a back panel repaint. Nice interiors just need a dry clean job.
How much price is a decent for this kinda car???
Also how is good for 2007 V6

Re: ARTICLE: The Best (used) Enthusiast cars for 6 lakh rupees! Or less

I believe that the older Fiesta 1.6S would now be available in the used car market for around 4-6 lakhs, depending on the mileage recorded and the condition of the car. A decent and well run 1.6S should be available for around 5 lakhs. With 1 lakh to spare, one can either choose to pocket the change, or spend it on the 1.6S.

I would buy a used 1.6S without thinking twice.

Pardon me for my ignorance, may not be the right thread also, however this question keeps coming back to me.
1. What is the difference between a Ford Fiesta Old model 1.6SXI and 1.6S?
2. Does it matter(relative prices) in the used car market as well?

The major difference is actually the suspension setup which alters the ride and handling which makes the 1.6S slightly harsh for city drives but an absolute monster on the curves!!!
Almost ZERO body roll, I have taken 90 degree turns at 120+ without any protest from the car. OT the only other car I can think of for topnotch handling under the 10lac bracket is the Mitsubishi Cedia.

Here are a few other visual differences,

Ford Fiesta 1.6S
  • Side Skirts and Rear spoiler
  • Blue-Black interiors
  • Silver finish dashboard
  • Fixed head rests for the rear bench
  • Double stiched black upholstery
  • Semi-Smoked head lamps like the Exi
  • Different alloys and tyres (Rubber size and design)
Ford Fiesta 1.6 SXI
  • Beige interiors
  • Faux wood darshboard
  • Chromed ORMVs with turn indicators
  • Wierd silver paineted radiator grill
  • Body colured metal base for the number plate
  • Central armrest and adjustable headrests for the rear bench

Talking about the performance, how different was it to the palio? And were there any differences in the suspension?

Production of the Adventure Sports Petrol stopped in 2007, I believe. It will be tough to find a good adventure since they're owned mostly by enthusiasts. When I bought my Palio 1.6 in 2007 there was an Adventure at the showroom going for 5.5lakh so if you do find one, it'll be a steal. I didn't buy 'cause .... I was dumb !!

The best part about the Adventure is the all independent suspension and the solid build.

5-6L

If you are referring to current look V6 - it may not be easily available, it sells in very low numbers. It is much more effecient and better as a vehicle compared to the version from 2004-2007 but it delivers power too smoothly and is not as exciting to drive as the previous one.

Adrenalin Junkie has already replied in detail.

The SXI a sporty trim version of the ZXI, while the 1.6S has changes (lowering and stiffening) to the suspension etc. The 1.6S is not great for the back but is a dream car really good roads, but on bad roads the SXI is the one to go for.

I think SXI is the more practical sport car with cosmetic changes, the 1.6S is indeed very lovely to drive (enthusiast car) but in the long run or rather for longer usage not what I would recommend.

The 1.6S is not unbearable or completely impractical but moderately inconvenient going over sharp potholes and speedbreakers. What works against it is the fact that its "practical" sibling the Sxi is no slouch in the handling department either and hence makes for a better overall package.

Bottom Line - It comes down to how you use your car. If you use your car purely for driving pleasure then you will love the "S" and enjoy the "Sxi". If not, then the Sxi makes more sense in every possible way.
