Can this VIN be please decoded?

A Renault Duster : MEEHSRAW5D9039506

What I got from the site: http://vindecoder.eu/check-vin

VIN: MEE HSRAW 5 D 9 039506

Nissan
Manufacturer: Renault Nissan Automobiles Pvt Ltd
Manufacturer address: Plot No 1 SIPCOT Industrial Estate
Oragadam Mattur
Sriperumbudur TN 602105
Product type: Passenger Cars
Make: Nissan
Check digit: 5
Model year: 2013
Plant code: India
Sequential number: 039506

It is says 9 is plant code for India. The first page on this thread says it is September. Hence the request

It appears that super Guru is not around as my earlier post on the subject eight days back is still open.
VIN Gurus, can anyone help me get detailed info of this Corolla Altis with VIN MBJ53ZEE207614305.

I have got the last eight characters for Mahindra XUV.

I tried the decoding post on page 1 of this thread.
The part of the VIN I got is E6DXXXXX
Based on that, I know it is a 2014 (E), April (D) vehicle.

Are the previous parts important as well?

I booked a Hyundai car and have finished payment formalities. The dealer gave me a 17 digit VIN. He said that VIN numbers are 17 digits only and not 19. Not sure since I kept insisting its 19 and the SA finally showed me the paperwork for a Grand i10 which had been invoiced and it was indeed 17 and he had me compare it with the delivery car to assuage my fears. Can someone help? I can provide the VIN if needed?please:

Seems like there is a change in VIN number pattern of Hyundai. when I used the 17 digits number in this website http://vindecoder.eu/hyundai it is able to decode. Only thing is that it is not decoding month of manufacture that is the only miss

Hi, can some one get the month of manufacture, engine type and color from the following VIN. Its a i20. I am not able to get these particular details

MALBB51BLEM634083

Thanks

I think I may have solved the riddle. I finally took delivery of my car yesterday and there were two numbers quoted on the invoice, one being the VIN which was 17 digits and the other being the Chassis Number which was the 17 digit VIN followed by a * and an alphabet. This made it a total of 19. I then applied the VIN decoding logic to this sequence and was able to decipher the model month and year. Not sure if I'm correct, but I do have a feeling that I am!:I Rule:

Hello Wildon,

Can you please decode the below VIN and let me know the month of manufacture?

WVWB14163EA6511

Thanks in advance!

I had access to a Hyundai tool where I could decode the VIN (even a 17-digit one) for free earlier. Unfortunately, that got outdated and hence was shut down. The new one is a fully paid site. However, miraculously I'm able to access it for free temporarily, because the site's payment system is being upgraded. So while I don't know how long the free access will last, here's a little bit for those who have asked for the decoding of the VIN of Hyundai cars.

I'm not able to get the details for this VIN, unfortunately. It looks like there could be an error.

17 digit is the normal VIN. The chassis number stamped below the driver's seat has 19 characters - 17 digit VIN followed by * followed by month of manufacture (code letter).

I can decode the 17 digit VIN if you provide it here.

Hi

Could somebody decode the following vin. Honda city.

MAKGM655CEN002882

The manufacturing date I could decode as mar 2014. And I guess the N means noida.

Anything else?

Thanks.

Just got the car at the showroom today. Taking the delivery today evening :) the VIN number states the chasis is of 2013, while the manufacture is of 2014. Would that be a problem. the SE says both the manufacturing date as well as the registration will fall in 2014. What do you guys suggest.

VIN: WVWM13167EA550493

VIN Characters: 17 (beginning with MAI...)

Decode:

10th character represents the YEAR of Manufacture
12th character represents the MONTH of Manufacture

An Example:

If your 10th VIN character is A, then it represents the Year - 2010
If your 12th VIN character is G, then it represents the Month - July

Month Codes:

A = JAN
B = FEB
C = MAR
D = APR
E = MAY
F = JUN
G = JUL
H = AUG
J = SEP
K = OCT
L = NOV
M = DEC

Year Codes:

A = 2010
B = 2011
C = 2012
D = 2013
E = 2014
F = 2015
G = 2016
H = 2017
J = 2018
K = 2019

EDIT : Here's some more info from Spike. Thanks!

What is the code for 2009 manufacture vehicle then?

Since its 2 for 2001, it will be 9 for 2008 and then A is for 2010 according to the post. Just want to be sure that for 2014, the letter is E and not F
