Hi have booked an elite i20 Asta (o) petrol and the vin provided was MALBM51BLGM317070.

Isn't the hyundai vin supposed to be 19 characters ? What is the month of manufacture of this vin. Also, where to find the vin in an elite i20.

Hi drpudhi, My friend has booked an I20 Asta(O) as well but he too was given a 17 digit VIN. How did you find the month of manufacture as October from your VIN number? The vin decoder says that the 19th digit gives the month of manufacture information.

Am waiting to take delivery of my Duster AWD Adventure on 25th December with the Chassis : MEEHSRCFNGB001224.

VIN is stamped below the driver's seat. The 19th digit represents the manufacturing month. Refer this post to decode the manufacturing month.

Congrats! It's November 2016 model. The tenth character 'G' represents the year 2016 and the eleventh character 'B' represents the November month.

The 19th digit represents the month of manufacture. It will be stamped below drivers seat. Ask the dealer to give that number (Will be noted as chassis number in hyundai documents).

Can someone decode the VIN No WDD1173086L002841 for CLA and let me know the manufacturing year ?
