Apparently, the site is able to produce more accurate details for some and not for others. Is there any particular site one can refer to get details about cars available in India (the new ones that are being sold). I understand that details like the Month and Year are identifiable by the VIN. But how to get the corresponding Engine / Chassis number associated with that particular VIN along with the respective Make, Model and Color of the particular vehicle.

I am waiting for the VIN details from the dealer (as I have booked the Renault Kwid, 1.0L manual), but they have shared the Engine and Chassis number. Very surprising as to what is stopping them from sharing the VIN.

Nevertheless, is it possible, to get the VIN details from the Engine and Chassis number?

Not too sure if chassis and VIN are same, but apparently if so, then it seems to be a February 2017 made model. Is that correct? Is it good to take this car at March?

This is the VIN number. It is Feb 2017 manufactured vehicle. I don't see any problem in taking a Feb 2017 vehicle in March unless there is any problem found during your PDI

I just bought the new Ecosport and Window VIN format has changed. Am struggling to understand. Would be great if someone can help. The VIN is MAJAXXMRKAHJ06860.

I was going through the Kerala RTO site and found a document which has the details of how to decode VIN to get the manufacturing Year and Month. I hope this helps as single point of access for all the vehicles manufactured after 2010
