Yes indeed it is BS4. That is why I got INR 40K discount. I just wanted to confirm if it is not too old. The dealer did I tell me it is at least 5 months old. I am OK as long as it is May 2019.

Was looking at the Santro anniversary edition. The Vin provided was MALAF51CYKM095188 that shows the production date as 2019-09-10, but anniversary edition was launched on Oct 20 or something.

Do we know how this match up?

Even though the anniversary edition was launched in October, the car needs to be manufactured in advance for dispatches to happen and reach the dealerships without any delay.

Went to perform PDI for a friend. At the VW showroom, his Vento turned out to be a Jan 2019 manufactured one. Neither he nor his dad had the stomach to ask for their downpayment money back despite my warnings on what could have befell a 11 month mothballed car. He's not getting a hefty discount either. The salesman was spinning a yarn about how VW cars are always manufactured in stages...the body gets made earlier, Germany sends a gearbox in a few months...

I'm personally sad for him but hope for the best for him.
