VIN : MALAF51CYKM048820
Engine No.: G4HGKM989478
Model ID : SANTRO (AH2)
Model Year : 2019
Engine : G 1.1 MPI

Production Date: 09-02-2019

Delivery Date : 31-03-2019

It says the car has been delivered on 31st March. Surprising!! Either this car has been allocated to you due to someone cancelling the delivery at the last moment or was billed/invoiced for year end targets. Please check the car thoroughly before signing the dotted line.

Can someone please decode the following VIN for me?
MALBM51RLKM693726

It's supposed to be the VIN of an i20 Elite

I tried decoding VIN for my Ertiga. It seems to be manufactured in January. However, dealer delivered it in March. The SA was saying it was March manufactured itself, saying they are delivering immediately as they get the units, especially quoting the high demand.

Can someone please verify my decoding? Is the gap of 2 months an issue?

2 months isn't an issue but it is surprising for the new-generation Ertiga to be sitting idle in the yard for 2 months. May be the dealer received this car from elsewhere.

Hi. Need help in decoding the VIN for Honda. I've deciphered that it's an April 2019 manufacture based on what Wildon explained in the opening post, but additional details will be helpful please. Delivery is scheduled next week. MAKGM669DKN401684

Hello Everyone!
Below is the screenshot of the VIN of Hyundai Creta:-
ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)-screenshot_20190424195555__01.jpg

The above pic shows the production date of 23/11/2018 and delivery date of 29/11/2018.
What does this "Delivery date" mean?! I've yet not even booked it.
Does it mean I'm the second owner? Or was this car allotted to someone else?
Experts, please help
Regards,
Powertrain

Any idea how to read JTP VIN? It's different from regular 17 character Tata format MATxxxx. I'm looking at some stock and can't make heads and tails of it.

JTP VIN is 18 characters, starting with MD.

Where is the car currently? How did the SA give out the VIN without booking?

A 5-month-old car lying with the dealer is surprising to me when Creta sells like hotcakes.

Looks like it was allotted to someone but the delivery did not happen. Something could be wrong with the car or they aren't following the FIFO system (First In First Out). My advice - stay away from this specific car and get another one or go to another dealership.

Please help me in decoding VIN WVWA183C9JA000127 for a VW Passat.
