Recommend
1: Sound Factor on Lavelle Road for a good decent tight system. You pay for quality. Alpine is more expensive
2: TMC in Jayanagar is also a really good place, old man's Optra really rocks - only issue is location
3: Master blaster, pure noise, etc - Auto Fusion in K'mangala

???

Which model from Pioneer has only mp3 and no cassette? Both, 4200 and 5000 are mp3 + cassette + tuner type head units. There used to be one which was a mp3 + MD player, don't remember the model no.

And unless you really love cassettes and are sitting on a pile of them that you don't have CDs of, don't buy a 2-din head unit. They're expensive, and don't have as many features as a single din of the same or lesser price.

Most 2 Din models are not as good as better 1 DIN models esp when you consider the price paid. Unless you have cassettes I would consider only a 1 DIN model.

All CD based MP3 players will play regular audio CDs as well! :-)

For the swift the prefered config is 1 6" speaker in each of the 4 doors and a small sub in the trunk.

BTW what is your budget?

Adding to Ajmat, Autofusion guy will charge you 10-15% more than sound factor. Did my installation from Sound Factor on the Lavelle Road on saturday and can recommend it any day over autofusion.

alex. look at other speakers. I have not heard the Bostons in question but I'm told there are better options (at that price) than Boston Fx Series. I'd consider Infinity or Alpine Type R.

Listen to Alpine, Infinity, Focal etc.. just remember that almost all manufacturers have a cheaper line and a more expensive line and note down exact model numbers and prices during your compare. For example I find that while Blaupunkt Velocity and ODx speakers are acceptable their GT series can be bettered (in their price band).
