Suggestion for new car Audio System

I am looking for a new sound system for Chevy Aveo. I am a total novice on this and require you help in choosing the same. What i am looking for
1. Since I drive the vehicle most of the time I require the best listening position to be the drivers seat.
2. HU should support, WMA, MP3 and AAC formats via CD drive.
3. HU preferebly should have a USB plugin for pocket drives.
4. I have heard that some HU's come integrated with bluetooth so it integrates with your bluetooth enabled phone.
5. Excellent Bass, It should not be soft and hollow where it simply bounces of, it should be rich and deep where it hits you in your chest, if you know what i mean.
6. The speakers should be reliable and not made of paper cones (I read somewhere that for car speakers paper cones are not good, I might me wrong though..)
7. Additional panelling to be done I have heard that speakers for the front should not be mounted in the factory fitted grills but should be fitted in Custom made Kickpanels.
I dont know anything about amps, preamps, subs, panels etc.. they are all terms I have just heard. But I have some concerns also
1. The sound system should not be so power hungry so as to drain my battery in a matter of an hour.
2. Is it possible to do the wiring and panelling without voiding the warranty.
3. Do you know of any good place to get the installation done including panelling in Mumbai (preferebly mulund side)
I really appreciate all the advice you can provide me
Thanks once again
Regards
jinu

Jinu before advising you any option we would appreciate if you could list out the following:

1. What music you listen to? Rock, Jazz, Classical etc.
2. Any boot space constrictions?
3. Do you prefer better Sound Quality (SQ) or more Loudness of the sound system (SPL)?
3. And most importantly what is your budget???

These factors will help the experts in answering your query better.

- What music you listen to - Rock
- Any boot space constrictions? - Yes, I cant spare more than half available bootspace. Which means whatever goes into the boot must not sit in the centre.
- Do you prefer better Sound Quality (SQ) or more Loudness of the sound system (SPL)? - Sound Quality
- And most importantly what is your budget??? - 20K Could push to 30k but the sound system will really have to be good for that.

Thanks

low_bass_makker, I have no plans currently.. I need some advise from the experienced members of this forum like you. Based on that I will have to decide on what to install finally.

I know I will have to compromise as we go forward, but I need your help in deciding what to compromise on and what not to.

Thanks
jinu

30 k ; lets build one.

compos at frnt ; 7k
co-ax at rear; 4k
boxed sub , since you like SQ; 8k
4 channel amp : 7k- 13k
install ; 2k
--------------------------------------
total: 28k -33k

Look at products frm JBL, Hertz, Blau, Pio for speaker and amp
HU...emm; Sony and JVC HU has some USB support HU. Pio 6 series is a good buy. But you need 8 to 10 k for the HU.

Or I can post a cheaper config for you ( like a sony 4 channel amp @ 4k etc)

Jkdas
Thanks a lot for the details. now for the specifics...
1. Compos in the front where is that installed in the factory provided grill in the door and dash or are you suggesting kickpanels.
2. Is it necessary that the speakers should come from the same company as the amp (something to do with matching)
3. What coax do you suggest at the rear 2 way, 3 way, 4 way
4. if we are talking of installing in factory fitted grill then there is 4" in the front door and 6.5" in the back door. But I think for the back I will go with the parcel tray area.

Regards
Jinu

Jinu

1. With your budget I don't think Kick Panels are an option.
2. No it's not necessary.
3. If you put Components on the front 2way would be fine.

Actually, most of the websites i read that it is a lot better to install front speakers in KickPanel and ofcourse there is some scientific reason behind that something to do with maximising the distance between the listener and the speaker and also it seems kickpanel allows you to direct the sound towards the listener..

I dont know how true this is but it sounded pretty convincing. I could be falling for some marketing gimmick. What do you say.

dont mind but given ur budget of 30k the stuff u will be buy will be of entry level. and installing them in kick pods will be waste of time and effort. I am not dis hearting u. Ya there will be diff in sound if u install the same speaker in kick pod and the door location but why spend extra ...

look here is a install with door location speaker install.

and this guy is a world champion.........lol

Then u must consider HU with TA feature.[time alignment]
It will do the same purpose though not as efficiently as kickpanels.

I am sure u would be looking to atleast double ur budget if u continue to get impressed like this......
