Great install B. And it was nice you put the pic of your installer. Wish a person like him was here in my town too. By the way waiting eagerly for the first audition report to come up. I am sure it will be a kick *** audio nirvana.

Audition review

I had a chance to audition Bhagwan's setup yesterday. The very first thing that strikes you is the detail which has gone in choosing the different gear and the beautiful, yet functional way it has been installed. Boom's installers, and Bhagwan's supervision has been successful here!

We listened to different tracks - trance, retro, some vocals etc. I found the music very detailed and being able to bring out the different sounds very accurately. On certain tracks, you could actually distinguish the different guitar strings very well! Although I initially found the bass for trance a bit 'subdued'; it turned out that it was probably tuned to be that way. With a few minor tweaks,it was as good as his Skoda RS setup (which was probably my benchmark for trance ICE).

The bass is very well put out through the isobarik method, however, I feel it was better executed in the i-10 setup.Nonetheless,this setup comes a close second to it.

A very well done job B!

Thanks for the visit;

Although you did not get your soft ware - you heard the swift.

Thanks for taking the time and auditioning.

Please do install the 12" woffer in the sub enclosure and provide it with a powerful amplifier. All the Best !!!

Thanks for the kind words;

However, I have not completed the set up.

2 issues seem to be pending.

a] Sub Woofer enclosure keeps moving in the boot - needs to be sorted.
b] There is a whine from the left tweeter @ low volumes.

I just have not had the time to get it looked into.
I will take my car over the weekend & have the enclosure 'modified' & the tweeter noise 'addressed'

Sure, it will be sorted - soon.

What can I say about the 'sound'

It has to be experianced to know what is going on.

I personally seem to be satistied with its performance.

This is a swift that 'sounds' good !

Forum members should try and listen to it.

I shall try;
  • HU - Alpine 9855 - 22/- K when purchased - 1.5 years back.
  • Front Components - Illusion Audio - Carbon 6.1 - 32/- K.
  • Rear Component - MB Quart - 'Q Line' - 6" - Rs. 65/- K.
  • Sub Woofers - Illusion Audio - Carbon ND 12 - Rs. 22/- K each
  • Amplifiers - Steg - 3 were used. K02.2 [front & subs] @ Rs. 55/- K each & K02.1 [rear] @ Rs. 45/- K
  • RCA cables were from Monster - 15/- K
  • Power Cables were from Ground Zero - 8/- K
  • Sub Woofer Enclosure - custom made - 3/- K
  • Damping - Noise Kill - 168/- sq. ft. @ Rs. 150/- per sq. ft.
  • Wood + MDF + Carpet - Rs. 5/- K
  • Labour - Rs. 10/- K [installation]
These are all approximate prices - the correct rates would be known by 'bass & trouble' [djaj]. Best he 'coraborate' the prices.

Thats what you call a budget install.
