Thanks Franky..It is my commercial involvement with the brand which is stopping me from declaring the win.

My answer would be exactly once. After that you'd be deaf.

However there are 2 reasons for having that capablity.

1. A system that can produce 140db+ cleanly will be do a very good job of 100 db as well as it will be working well withing it's limits.

2. in LBMs case; you see my dear Invisible, our friend LBM is a true believer of Newton's 3rd law of motion. By facing the cones of his subwoofers towards the rear of the car he is able to propel the car forwards just by turning on his stereo system. :-)
Thanks Navin Ji for your kind words. SPL is not that easy as it looks. You need to work very hard to achieve it.

dB Numbers are something very surprising, that is what i experienced at the dB Drag which happened in Delhi recently, Some setup numbers were very low compared to the amount of Bass they were producing and some setup numbers were like

A Single Sub in somebody's car getting numbers more than two woofers in another setup.

@Abhinav: You did not get the 1400.1 installed till yet, I thought it was complete by now, dont think to much add another Monoblock and it would be fine

World record from a single woofer

Digital Design subs can do wonders single handedly by achieving 180db from their single woofer and amp. Ofcourse to get these there many more things which are involved more batteries, alternators, better electrical wires and system, tons of deadening and many more. Which can turn out to be more expensive than just buying the sub and amp.

World Record 180.5 dB From a Single Subwoofer [audiojunkies]

Not yet manan.
That single sub is running on full potential and the car is very small compared to my car.

I havent done the install yet. The money is almost ready. The only thing is the final check , if it goes fine, it will come soon and another surprise ( Non ICE is coming soon too).

I am here guys...

About the above install in question the who idea was to get the max efficeny out of the enclosure and the car acoustics. In the above install only at one freq it will peak rest it will be quite less. And it will not be musical sounding as it is for only for SPL. But there is another genre of SPL lover for those there is BASS RACE and it is quite challenging also...

Karan, to achieve 140+db cleanly it not diffcult but you have to observe many rules of car audio and understand their limitations. The car needs to be damped, the car's power supply needs to be capable, the subwoofer boxes need to be correctly designed, the amps and processors need to be tuned and set to be operating within the safe working limits, ...the list is quite long.
thanks navin!!!
but aren't this all applicable to a sq system, say no proper damping result to viberation, enclosure size and tuning, proper cabling.

and can't a sq setup acheive big figure's say 145 db or +

sure the demands to set up a good SQ system are not that different from a good SPL system
