Also How are power acoustik amps.
Are they reliable and will they give me good performance in comparison to JBL or for that matter some more amps like kenwood, alpine, rf etc?

Drive a sub on a 4 ohms load is always better. And you will have a option of good resale. Buying a 2500 rms amp would turn out to be a expensive option.

playing sub at 4oh over 2/1oh is always better lower the current demand clener the output @4ohms and tight bass compare @2/1oh.

i think you should consider another 14001 asyour buy

Abhinav, why not consider an ID 1200.1? Slightly overbudget though :-)

Will try wiring one of my sub at 4 ohm tomorrow and see how 1 sub performs with the 14001. If its ok and does not reduce the bass at high volumes, it will be surely the 14001.

How about the mono bloc from "AUDIO BANK" ? Seen 4500watts written on it,I was told it gives 1200w + rms as well.
