does not the crossover have a -3db option for the tweeter?

try this...

1. reverse the phase on both tweeters. it is simple just connect the wires at the XO end in reverse. this could drop the upper midrange and tames the treble. the details are too complex to go into here.

2. pad the tweeter a bit more. not really difficult if you are handy with a soldering iron.

and position it so that it fires not at you but to the opposite sides. Right?

good idea JK. keep the tweeter off axis and it will help a lot. most car tweeters tend to beam above 6-7Khz.

very average Deepug.

I understand that it dont even have RCA outs to add on an external amp

In fact I have not found any 2 DIN HUs that can compete with similarly priced 1 DIN HUs in sound quality.

JBL T595 Wiring Problem

Hi Guyz

I have recently changed my ICE.
But i m not satisfied with the sound quality.
I think may be the wiring is not done properly.
Wud be great if someone cud help me out.

The ICE Setup for my Santro

HU - Pioneer 6850
Front - Pioneer Tweeter with Pioneer Front Speaker
Rear - JBL T595 Limited - 15 x 24cm (6"x9") 3-Way Multi-Element connected thru Sony Xplod 504 Amp
Rear - JBL 1000Watts Base Tube connected thru another Sony Xplod 504 Amp

Also soon planning to add JBL Front Components but dont knw how to fit them in Santro.

It wud be gr8 if Audio Guru's here will help me abt the wiring.
The main problem is the JBL T595 Speaker has HP and LP connectors on it, but my audio installer said u dont need 2 connect to both connectors, so he connected only 1.

Also if someone could let me knw a good place in Mumbai where i can go for wiring and solve the problem easily and enjoy a good sound from my ICE

Thanx
Waiting for Comments

Man from my personal experiance If there is no noise in the system then the wires bunch together is not a big issue..........

Since the topic has come up

1. I see DAPIC RCA cable. How good is it?
2. The speaker and power cables look anemic
3. I prefer to colour code my cables and terminals so it makes for easier to follow. 4 Red cables and one wont know 6 months from now which cable is which expect by looking at the printing on the amp which can be hard to read if you have an audio problem at night.

Dapic which I assume is a local delhi make cable also there is some number 2 and 3 on the rca might be some indication of the front & rear channel and the power wire is the normal house-hold wire gauge can be 12 (or 4mmsq) or even could have came with the amp itself. The speaker wire he has used are the wires which comes with the speaker itself so as I presumme white to be the left channel and the grey to be right channel, Rest kp could shed a little more light to the matter.............

My view is that a good car should have a good system to it.

Thanks in advance
