Update!

Well since Pioneer has launched some new models, I thought its time to update this thread.

the 8850 or P88RS as its called elsewhere... I like!!! hands down the best looking Pioneer 1DIN HU this year. Also has the usuals like Time Alignment etc. Already available in Delhi for somewhere around 20k.

in 2DIN DVD they have launched the AVH-P6800DVD which also has 6disc changer built-in. Serious competition to the Alpine IVA-W200. Looks really nice, didnt check but I think its got a larger screen.

the DEH-P8850MP here in india (or singapore model) is like DEH-P7800MP (in the US).Also the features also the same. This is the first time pioneer has changed the model numberlike this.

DEH-P8850MP and DEH-P80RS are both diff models. I wanted to but the 80RS but I could not get it in delhi. If u have some source for the same please let me know I will buy it as soon as possible....

DEH-P7800MP (US MODEL)

DEH-P8850MP (ASIA MODEL)

DEH-P80RS

Hmm... you're right. Strange... No I dont have a source for the P80RS here. I just called a dealer and asked the price for the 8850 and whether it was available here yet. Since I didnt see it in person I assumed as always it was the P80RS. Well I hope we get the P80RS here in India.

Yup, Metal faceplate too... and 'white only' OEL display... nice...

SQ wise, I see a lot of people moving from Alpines to this unit, and I've been told it sounds better. Of course Time Alignment, 3way Active crossover etc are also good reasons to pick this over this years Alpines.
