This looks aimed only for the commercial segment. Erstwhile Xenon had a personal vehicle angle also to it. At some point, even some test mules of Xenon automatic were spotted. Tata seems to have killed the personal vehicle angle in its transition to Yodha. Hoping against hope that they have plans to resurrect Xenon branding for personal vehicles.

Can't even call this a half-hearted approach! No headrests! Thin seats without contours. I was looking at the Xenon Crewcab 4x4 as a second vehicle (white-board) to cater to carrying a lot of my stuff around. That hope was dashed and now this is seriously nowhere ideal for me.

Somebody surely gave this the stepmotherly treatment! :Frustrati

Well.
It is either the Yodha or the Bolero pickup.
For a civilised 4x4 pickup, have to spend double for the Dmax Vcross.
And that will be coming in BS6 version by the next two-three months.

Seems like Tata and Mahindra has unceremoniously exited the lifestyle pickup market.

Doesn't make economical sense as it will not be my daily runner. Need it only for my projects when I would have to tug a load load of gear. I looked at the Isuzu S-Cab, but that can be registered only as a commercial and I don't want the hassle of dealing with the cops out on the street.

As much as I loved the Xenon XT, the Yodha is exactly opposite! But if someone does get to buy it in White Plate, is it possible to change the bucket / rear tub with the one from the original vehicle, will suit the car more?

If bought as a White Plate car, I am sure the interior seats etc. can also be replaced with the ones from the XT or Xenon (not Yodha)!

Recently purchased a 2015 Tata Xenon 4x4 3.0L Crew-Cab. Private registration.

Have a couple of questions for the owners-
* Where is the location for jack and tool kit located? From the info I can find, it should be next to the rear seat, but I see no space or provision for a tool bag and a jack anywhere. The truck did not come with the tools, BTW, hence asking.

* I have searched online for the 3.0 4x4 owners manual, but keep finding the 2.2L version. Anyone has the digital version for the 3.0L?

Is that a 3.0L Dicor ? That one has an awesome sounding engine, and I believe loads of torque too. Details, please.

The Telcoline had a nice place for the toolkit- below the rear seat. The sitting part is actually hinged at the front end, and can be lifted from the rear long edge. Hope you got this point - pls check and let us know.

Yes, it's a 3.0L Dicor 4x4. 2015 make, and run 120K, but it has been very well maintained and the engine, body and suspension are in great shape. Prepped it with motorcycle front wheel chocks, an aluminum ramp, metal fuel cans, and and an inflatable mattress to make it a motorcycle carrier to track and back.

No, the rear seat does not lift. The rear back rest should fold forward in this model. I managed to speak to another 3.0L 4x4 owner and it looks like the strap that can be used to unlock the rear backrest is either broken off or stitched in by accident under the seat upholstery. Will try to get it resolved over the next couple of days.

3.0 Dicor and 4x4 ? Good catch that. Do share pics.

2021 Tata Xenon Crew-Cab on the way to dealerships.

These seem to be old images and the Trucks either are heading to some defense forces as troop carriers or for export, definitely not for commercial or passenger car dealers.

From what I know, even though Tata Motors does not advertise the Xenon XT, but it is still available for sale if you want to order it. Contact your local Tata dealer for the same, and they can procure it for you on order basis. The XT version which had Airbags and all is still available without that suffix, as Xenon DLE ABS 4x4 for 12 odd lakhs ex showroom (BS4 prices), BS6 maybe over 13 lakhs now.

At least this was the case in end 2019 when I was buying my Triber. I can contact my old source and confirm if someone is still interested in buying it.

These are Left Hand Drive export models.

No TATA vehicle in domestic market has protective cover for paint protection.

Wish xenon was updated with HEXA components like Hydro-formed chassis, Suspension and Drivetrain.:loveit (but it wont sell :Frustrati)

rgds,
Nikhil

I agree with Nikhil's sharp eyes. These are LHD models and must be headed for export markets.

Enlarge the 3rd pic and look at the left most Xenon for a clear look at the steering wheel.
