How are you finding the Z50 (compared to a DSLR)? Why did you shift to mirrorless, if I may ask? :)

I want to go mirrorless, coz the world was shifting to it. I'd been contemplating for many months, now. Watching You Tube videos for camera reviews, etc.. I liked what I saw about Sony: The Mirrorless king... I was also looking at Fujifilm... I've 13 F mount lenses and finally head got better of heart and bought the Z50 with only the 16-50mm lens, got myself a FTZ adapter and an spare original battery. I shoot handheld and my wrists started complaining especially with the Tamron 150-600mm. I still have the Nikon D3200 and Nikon D610. I've had the Z50 since June 12th 2021 and I've found it to be great sensor wise even when compared to my full frame D610 and it's very easy to shoot. I'm not a single genre shooter like you. May be it will not work out well for you as with bird and wildlife Nikon Z camera's don't have great reviews. In Z50, Autofocus is snappy and shooting has been far more easy than with a heavy DSLR. What system do you shoot with Nilanjan? For wildlife Sony A1 is good with great autofocus system and high frame rate shooting...Or may be you can wait for the latest Canon EOS R3...

Thanks for your perspective.
I shoot with a D850 and a D500, using a few Nikkor lenses. My favourite is the 70-200mm f/2.8. My dream lens is the upcoming 400mm f/2.8 with 1.4X TC :-)

I can relate. The wide aperture is additive :)
Blurred! f/1.2

A home on a higher floor, balcony for that beautiful sunset view with a cup of tea/coffee is a dream of every Mumbaikar...
