Thanks for your perspective.
I shoot with a D850 and a D500, using a few Nikkor lenses. My favourite is the 70-200mm f/2.8. My dream lens is the upcoming 400mm f/2.8 with 1.4X TC :-) |
Enjoy, Nilanjan, I can't afford that!!:) All these constant aperture teleconv beauties cost a bomb. But with your skill set you can have one. That said here's one from yesterday at the broken bridge, Chennai. My present mood is photographing my neighborhood...Nikon D610 + Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 VR
I really enjoy framing these rowers from Madras Boat Club on the Adyar River...they're a joy to shoot... Best time to catch them is around 6-30 to 7 am morning and 5-30 to 6 pm evening I shoot them from Thiru Vi Ka Bridge (Adyar Bridge) and from the clearing on the Adyar River Bank near St Patricks School...Shot with Nikon D610 + Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 VR...
A red-wattled lapwing posing against the harsh Sun!

This was one of the best sunsets till now at Adyar River...on 29-09-2021 taken at 6-05 pm after the sun dipped beyond the horizon it set fire to the sky in an awesome display of fiery colours...The beauty is the almost stagnant river affords some great reflections...Nikon D610+Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 VR
Where's the 'Thanks' button here? Some great photos being posted here.
Saw this lovely puppy at the beach this morning as the sunrise was no great shakes, he was my subject of interest...Nikon D610 + Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 VR...
The human element at a beach sunrise and a rower from Madras Boat Club encircled by the clouds and their reflections on the Adyar River...Nikon Z50+Nikkor16-50mm
A different kind of a selfie.
Happy Diwali to all at TBHP...Nikon Z50 +Nikkor 16-50mm, handheld shot taken last evening at home...

Canon 5d, 70-200 F2.8 on Tripod, and wired trigger, long exposure

Some travel pics from road trip to Kumbakonam and Tanjore, where I was stuck in the infamous Guduvanchery floods and traffic snarl through which my Honda City came out unscathed, after that I parked the car in Kumbakonam and took the help of a pro driver and a Tavera to see places around as the roads were in bad shape due the more than generous monsoon season over TN this November...the pics are from Tanjore and Gangaikonda Cholapuram Brihadeeswara Temples...All shots with Nikon Z50 and Nikkor 16-50mm kit lens.. Couldn't circumambulate the temples as all praharas were wet, soggy and mossy and rather slippery I was suitably forewarned by locals not to enter the praharas...Yet was gingerly going around the Tanjore Big Temple and entered the covered prahara which dry and also afforded great views of the temple from 3 sides and angles for the shots of this engineering marvel that has withstood more than 1000 monsoons...
