I recently visited this place even though I was born in this town 60 years back. 6 th century 4 storeyed construction which is a must see right in the middle of Vijayawada city, my birthplace. I tell my wife that one day I will die on the stairs of my 3 storey villa in Bangalore going up and down innumerable times every day especially when I am a senior citizen now (thinking it is a modern problem but this technology existed long back).

It is a good place for railfanning for sure. it is a quiet place with hardly anyone around. Only few passenger trains used to stop there.
That was the last I went there (2015), so not sure how much it has changed.
I hope the station hasn't been modernized as it had a nice old charm to it. |
Thanks. We're looking for a place near Lokur Rly Stn (within 25 kms) to stay for 1 night. Would you happen to know any place?
I tried looking on Google Maps but can't find any. Even the simplest of simple places is fine, as long as it is a peaceful location, far from all hustle-bustle.
VGF is full.

The only places I can think of is Dharmapuri or lodges beside the highway.
The mandatory cat-shot on getting a new gear!
A frame from the 4K footage - happened to capture this distant cloudburst when I was flying my fpv quad today. Looked surreal.
