Not a scenic pic, but something interesting I came across today.
Looks to be a wasp nest. It was about 18-20 inches tall, and about 12-13 inches wide, as estimated from the ground.
Three's company: spotted today on the lawns of the hospital where my wife works.

The bird or the light?

Recently we went to Brihadisvara temple, Thanjavur. The temple is a scenic beauty in itself and that mesmerising evening added colours to this masterpiece.

Very nice photo! Thanks for sharing.
Many nice photos in this thread, but unfortunately this thread seems to have gone quiet for a long time.
Let me share some of my recent "non-auto" images here. The common theme in the images below is "Golden/Blue Hours" (sunrise, sunset or just after sunset). All these photos were taken in various road trips recently.
Sunrise at Bhigwan, Maharashtra:

Just after sunset in forests near Bandipur, Karnataka:
Sunset at Golkonda Fort, Hyderabad:

Was taking a break in my office, watching the beautiful rains outside. Got captured! A reflection of me on the glass sliding door :thumbs up

A two day unwinding with family in the lap of Chettinad splendor at Chidambara Vilas, Heritage resort, with comfortable stay, splendid Chettinad Cuisine and a lovely property lending itself well to architectural shots: Went well prepared with my 9 year old Nikon D610 and my 5 year old Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VR...Here are some shots from that place...

Cool silhouette, GTO! Why isn't there a 'thank' button on this and the Auto Image thread? It would be some 'incentive' to posting on this and the other thread...
Sharing a few non-auto images from my travels last month.

Nice pic. Is it a good place for railfanning? We're planning to do railfanning there one of these days.
Does the railway station still look the same?

It is a good place for railfanning for sure. it is a quiet place with hardly anyone around. Only few passenger trains used to stop there.
That was the last I went there (2015), so not sure how much it has changed.
I hope the station hasn't been modernized as it had a nice old charm to it.
