Those white spots are there in the whole pic. I also have the same issue with flash at night.
Heavy_foot - U dont need to use the flash when u have S5IS...So many manual settings are there in it...

BTW the cam is Canon S5IS
Its light(Flash Light) bouncing off the dust particles in the air. As you said this happens when flash is used(These kinda spots cannot be avoided as far as my knowledge goes). If thats not the case then it can be dirt/spots on lens.

Why dont you clean the lens and see if the spots still appear when you take pics.

First one is well timed shot, love the shape. It little under exposed.

2nd one is perfect. Only thing with this one is that the lights that got into the frame.

3rd one is pretty nothing wrong with it

Hope these points make some sense.

dhuadhar falls and marble rocks (narmada river in jabalpur). I was getting fine water droplets on my lens when shooting the fall.

Nice shot buddy. You do get some filters to avoid the water drops.

Was in Coorg for a small break. Couldn't shoot any thing worthwhile after Robin's news..

Around 6.30 am, Sunday.



Around 7.30 am, Sunday.



From Tadiyandamol peak, highest in Coorg. Sunday. Sometime during afternoon..before getting that news.
