Thanks, but is not as scary as the road leading to it.

The road condition from Tarikere-Kaimara-Chikmagalur is excellent. The road from Kaimara to Mullainagiri is very narrow, but in generally good shape. But the last half KM just before reaching Mullainagiri is scary as hell. This mud road stretch is broken, gravel filled, uphill, only 1.5 car wide, has no barricade and you can only see horizon beyond the cliff. If a car happens to come in front of you, it is a real catch-22. You don't want to be reversing in this stretch of road.

So the last stretch has not improved over years. I remember doing this stretch on a splendor way back in 2000. The bike just refused to climb with the pillon, we had to get down and push it around. But the view that one gets from the top (on a clear day) is worth that effort.
