I bought my first lens (besides the kit lens) - a Sigma 70-300 DG Macro. It is a 70-300 mm tele-photo lens which also doubles up as Macro on the flick of a switch (this can be turned on only between 200-300 mm).

Here are some bird-shots, I clicked with this lens -

Musical fountain pics were at around 5-10 sec exposure with F8
