Took the image in RAW format and messed with it to reproduce the actual color and light conditions.

Looks underexposed, but why did you mess with it if it was in RAW...the exact colors would have been reproduced anyway.

For some reason it looked Orange in color. I took the pic at F11and 30 and added 2 full stop exposure compensation, changed the RGB curves, added color tone and contrast to reproduce exactly what I saw.

The setting was something like this - a yellow marigold resting on a black box in front of a laptop monitor with flourescent bulb over it. Since I put the flower at an angle, half of it was being over exposed and half underexposed.

Crop it to remove half the sky and the window/wall from the bottom right corner and it would look nice. My 0.02$

Photography bug has stung me too... here are a few starters!

This is full 12X Optical Zoom... the bird was sitting on the top branch of the tree.


Goes to show how plain horrible a P&S is when it comes to birding :P
