I got the 45mm f1.8 couple of days back and needless to say, I love this lens. This is approximately equivalent to the 50mm on an APS-C sensor and I love this focal length.

Posing is fine, but getting the faces in sharp focus is an issue, so the best option is to make them stand at the same point one by one and camera fixed in a spot. Then stack them into one in PP. Idea copied from my US friend :)
