Yeah felt the same , this was one of the first pics with new cam. Must accept that composition is quite a point to keep in mind.

This is what 50mm/f1.8 does to your picture. It refuses to get out my camera anytime. Beware of this lens !!

Overcast and cloud density can work both ways. It may ruin your shot or it may give you something interesting. For this, to make the sky even darker I had added a gradual ND.

EV was 1-1/3 down.
