Thought I'd share some of my older pics, We did a road trip to dindugal and there are few shots from there. We went on a Scorpio and a Qualis, with the fab background. and also a couple of flowers that caught my eye. Camera used Olympus and on preset modes (dont know how to use the user modes!)

@sanjay - Yes that is sure an echo - I have a friend who is crazy about macro, I'll ask him he'll share a few with us.

@ rippergeo - That's just freaky, arms of steel huh? a friend saw the pic and asked if he could use it as a reference concept to do a painting off?

Sometimes, the in-camera PP engine can get it right. This is a perfect example of that. Great exposure though.

Some pics I took in Munnar and Kumarakom.
Used the usual Canon Powershot camera on auto mode- nothing fancy.

Not Sure whether this post should be here in this section (mods please advise) (Awesome photos, please click the Link):

Photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand will bring his work back to the United States - to New York City for the first time in 2009. Aiming to inspire people to think globally about sustainable living, Arthus-Bertrand has been photographing unique views of our planet, seen from the sky, since 1994....

Ah!!! Never knew that this thread existed. Let me share some of mine. I specialize on Avian life . Apart from Off-Roading, birding is my passion. Using Olympus gear now (Planning to migrate to Canon 40D and 500mm f/4 glass. Apparently all my savings are gone to my Jeep ). This is one of my favorite. A Barn Swallow, shot from Hessergatta

Hope you enjoy it.

Nothing special about these pictures, but the Cafe featured has loads of what is termed 'atmosphere'.

The pics are of the Kashi Art Cafe, Fort Cochin. A must-visit place in Cochin:

Coffee made the authentic way - beans that are hand-ground when you place your order, and served in a coffee press. Out of the world!

The Official non-auto Image thread-san_1256.jpg

Large, airy courtyards that are connected by a small open corridor - everything about this place is open and airy. Heavy coconut wood tables for groups, converted sewing machine stands with marble tops for singles!
