In general it appears there has been an update of Prime video app on the STB and the current STBs provided by Jio are unable to cope with the demands of the app. I have seen the app become laggy and unresponsive on many occasions starting from last month. |
Since the issue is persisting since many days now, the system has been rebooted many times during this time advertently and inadvertently. I can view the videos on the phone app but the Jio STB app is not playing any videos at all. It shows the preview etc but once you select a title to play, it gives an error. If the issue remains, I may choose not to renew the Prime membership anymore as anyway you can rent and watch selective titles- thanks to the mess created by Amazon for the Prime subscribers. |
