^^I am in for PV8.
And guys, the best quote I got from the Pana brand shop was 57K. Now on the last couple of pages, it is mentioned that the prices have been revised and dropped around 50 to 52K for the PV8 :-)

Thats four for the PV80 and one for the PV8. We might go to ModernWorld or is it Modern Electronics in Domlur today. Shall I go ahead and ask the PV80 for 55K? Lets see what he says.

Folks just been to ModernWorld in Domlur. He needs to see some heads. Both of us convinced him for a price below 60K as of now. He's even ready to reduce further if he sees more heads in person. :-)

I've not checked with Panasonic Showroom. Anyone in and around Koramangala who wants to do it?

Looks like venkatt did not read my IM yet. I am interested too. PV80. I can definitely go with you on weekends.

BTW, woudn't buying the Panny in the brand shop make sense? As last time as I went there, the sales rep told me that he can deliver it immediately (sooner than others). Don't know how much of sales talk was that. We have to ensure timely delivery with whomever we go with.

I have a quick question the PV80/8 owners - Does the extra ~10k for the PV80 makes sense?

guys,
My friend has a Sansui 42 Plasma and says they are excellent and picture clarity is as good as any. He bought it for 50K 6 months back.

How is Sansui brand of TVs? in particular Plasma and LCDs.

Whatever experience I have had with Sansui tells me that their products do not age well; ie not as long lasting as their competitors.

Why don't you guys try Devi International in Jayanagar near madhavan park. I have found that he always gives the best prices for all electronic goods. He keeps very little margin. Here are numbers from one of the bills I had.

I have a quick question the PV80/8 owners - Does the extra ~10k for the PV80 makes sense?
I had spoken to Abdul Haseeb, the sales guy at the Pana Brand shop, who quoted 58K for the PV8 (3 weeks back and before the price drop now). Speaking to the manager brought the price down to 57K.

Deliveries were immediate.

The no's are 25635966 and 41102323

I thought the difference in PV8 and PV80 is 5k while purchasing.

The quote from Modern World for 60K for the PV80 seems high.

My gut feeling is they would agree to give PV8 for 50K and PV80 for 55K..

My thought is to go with one shop at a time....get their final price and move to the next shop and never tell them that we had done a negotiation with any other shop......the reason for this is because of the past experiences in negotiating a Santro deal ( which did not go thru..because the guys were talking with too many dealers, comparing with each other and one of the dealer who was not happy with the negotiation reported it to Hyundai and Hyundai stopped the deal to go through )

@Thalavoy @Appuchan, got your messages and good to know that you are part of the group
