E73 (RM-658) is a souped up (or down - lies on the minds of the beholder :D) version of E72 meant for T-Mobile (USA). It has just one firmware option (v42.7), here are two more interesting links: Link 1, Link 2.

I don't know but nokia touch screen phones feel a generation behind to the current crop of phones. They are function yes but things have moved on so quickly, i was playing with my friend's n97 and man it's a terrible phone. I don't know who is in charge at Nokia but they've been making some really bad decisions lately. Even on the software side they muddled up with the ngage relaunch and ovi too seems to be going nowhere.
By the way the n8 will be the last symbian high end phone and is an important model for Nokia they even got the designer for the famous n95 (the last great high end phone from nokia) to work on it.

Hi Lightening,
How about the 3G performance of X6? Did you use in 3 G zone? Is it good with 3g performance like Video call with both primary and secondary cameras? How about the GPRS and browsing work with X6?

Hi,

I am not yet subscribed to 3G till now. Wifi is working like fine and beautiful. X6 is a good phone with nice features.

My wife is after my life to change her phone - Xperia X1. She hates the phone from Day 1 !! I got her this 40k phone in January 2009 last year, used it for a day and since I could not change my Reliance number had no option but to gift her this - the first few weeks she was the talk of our circle since it was probably the most advanced phone at that time.

Now she hates it :D

Anyways - I am thinking of getting her a Samsung Wave S8500 - heard its pretty rocking and rated as #1 in gsmarena. AMOLED screen and excellent batery and HD recording etc etc.

My 2 questions - How much can I expect for the experia ( 18 months old ) - top condition !

And how much is the Samsung Wave with B&W ?

Hope its not a very advanced phone like the Xperia was.

I would rate Wave a beautiful phone :) Though it technically very high in specification. Have seen ladies going crazy with samsung phones.

And yes she'll love it, try to get in white.

Rate - Around 16K something.

Some time back you wrote on this forum about changing the product code of my E72 via NSS. Can you elaborate.

P.S - I too want to change the product code.

Replied to your PM :) Please be careful though, you *MAY* brick your phone.

Also, Navifirm lists the latest firmware as available for India product codes - so you may want to check that first.

Just posted my ad here.

Checked Samsung Wave - It is available here for 17.5k with B&W. No White colour available. Only Black. It seems to be the hottest selling phone the shop keeper says.

Let me get my Xperia sold and then will buy this.

Hi all,

need a new phone, preferably within 300$. N85 was perfect for me with some sync issues. now it's broken.

requirements:

1. sync with laptop, google mail, calendar etc. windows mobile would be ideal I guess.
2. decent camera, preferably with good macro. N85 helped me scan many documents without having a scanner.
3. good internet capability.
4. preferably no touch screen. n85 was thrown on the floor and broke it's OLED. I need a phone that can survive some rough usage.
5. tether laptop to internet. USB, bluetooth, whatever (very important since I need it for system support at odd hours). much better if it charges via USB at the same time.
