@triedeverything, since you have Super, I am posting my settings - I have transcoded a HD movie, and a few Tom and Jerry videos, and all work fine on my E72. All you may want to do is change the resolution that I have chosen to match your screen.

Attachment 392653

Let us know how it goes...

I get the following error. Now it looks like it doesn't want to convert the file either :( I\'ve tried it on a laptop and desktop. I\'ve also tried two different files.
Name: supererror.GIF
Views: 379
Size: 15.9 KB

The message tells me to uncheck or check direct show option. I've tried both options. Even this error happens after at least an hour of conversion.Help!

Try installing FFDShow, and try running Super with the DirectShow Decode enabled. Also make sure you have enough HDD space in the destination drive / location.

One bug in the SE Xperia X10:

In very rare occasions, when i am dialing a number & at the same time, if i receive a call, the phone for a second will show "XYZ calling" & then suddenly the screen gets back to the main homepage & shows no tab of "Answer" or "Reject", which leaves you with no other option than to cut the call. Meanwhile, the ringtone keeps ringing!

The X10 has no physical Answer/Reject buttons & the only way to pick a call is touching the tab on the screen. When that itself is not there, you are left with two options - press the rocker button on the right & mute the ringtone or press the power button once & cut the call!

Guys, pls suggest a good dual-sim phone (both GSM). Upto 5k.

Phone will be primarily used for calls. Qwerty etc not required. Nothing fancy, but something reliable and easy to use. Bluetooth & Camera is not so important, but good to have.

Refer to post #6609 on this thread. Some Samsung dual SIM phones were suggested.

It is no longer illegal to "unlock" your phone. We used to talk about "unlocking" and such stuff in hush hush tones.

See:-

And it never makes a difference if you did not know that unlocking was prohibited.

In my understanding it had no legal backing under Indian copyright law anyway but no legal precedent existed either, Ethically speaking Locking iPhone to Carrier is anyway unethical in India as operator is not subsidizing the handset. that Indian laws do not have teeth like french laws.

My worst nightmare came true yesterday. I've lost my phone, and that without taking necessary backup. Is there any miniscule chance of having the data rescued from some alien device?

Another major concern, I'm very highly concerned about the data on the phone being in the wrong hands. Is there any slim chance of actually having the phone locked, or having the data deleted in some manner?

The phone is a Nokia E71, and I hadn't synced it with my laptop either.

manson.

i had faced a similar situation when i lost my N82 full of pictures and videos! But luckily i found it later... and since then i have Guardian Mobile Installed on my Nokia. Something similar on my BB9700

So Aza, is there pretty much nothing I can do about it?

manson.
