That is interesting. Could this be a business move on the part of CM.Inc?
They did make a deal with Micromax, didn't they? Maybe Micromax is planning a similar high end device running CM?

Yup that's the reason. CM and Micromax have tied up and Micromax will get exclusive rights to CM in India. No other manufacturer will be supported by CM except Micromax.
This really puts One Plus on the backfoot. Suddenly the hype has come down.

This is spreading fast among my office mates; not sure how it works. And I am lill hesitant to install it; the reviews online aren't that great.
But for what it is; people here are able to make cheap phone calls.
Any feedback from T-Bhpians?

I've installed Lollipop on my Nexus 4.
The bloody thing is now giving problems connecting to wifi. The wifi does not switch on at all, unless I restart the phone. After the restart, it connects to the wifi for some time before disconnecting and the process has to be repeated.
Any solution ?

Which security method your WiFi has? If its WPA based then switch to WEP (or even remove the security for some time for diagnosis purpose) and see if issue still persists.

I think that's over stating the value of CM. IMHO 1+ got the attention by having top notch hardware backed up with a reliable quality of software. As they have indicated, this just means more costs for 1+,they just need to build the Rob specifically for India users. Since CM itself is built off AOSP (Android Open Source Project) , there's nothing stopping 1+ except the cost of staff. The build may just need more effort but as long as the phone experience remains fluid, users don't care if they don't get weekly updates like miui or fortnightly or monthly updates.
CM is bloat free but it's not that big a deal for most users if the replacement is something CM like but just as fluid.
Those having an issue with lollipop on Nexus 4 try this custom ROM called NexusExperience it's pretty good and bugfree. Get 12hrs standby with around 3hrs SOT (3g+auto sync and some apps greenfied) with a custom kernel.
Btw how many of you are getting the OnePlusOne on 2nd December?
Couldn't resist the urge to migrate to Lollipop on my Nexus 5 especially with the regular OTA message being displayed. So went through with it yesterday. No issues to report so far. As far as the experience is considered, its ok just a kiddish upgrade (all color no substance for a lay person like me).

You are right, the so called materiel theme may look cool initially but users will later get bored of it very soon.
There should be bit more freedom of choosing different kind of other color themes in the stock Android firmware itself. If that is too much then something like "The Real Dark Slim" from SlimKat Rom is also enough, but there should be some way to simplify the things a bit.
Pre-Ordered Moto G2 for my dad from flipkart yesterday. It was out of stock, so will get the phone in around one week. Price - Rs. 12,999.
Just wanted to know if MotoG2 really requires screen guard and body cover? Being protected with gorilla glass 3? Or should I order screen guard and cover also separately.

Arguments on gorilla glass aside, I have succeeded in getting faint scratches all across my one month old moto g2 screen. So ordered one of those amzer clear screens.
Body cover is personal preference and usage. Ignore if you can overlook the occasional smudge and scratch in favor of the minimalist feel, purchase if not or if your dad has butter fingers.
Mrs G's Asus Fonepad cost 10K. Yesterday I ordered one for myself ...at 8K :D
Today I was trying to get Mrs G's 3G (no relation ;)) connection working and failed. According to Airtel it is there, but we don't seem to be able to activate it. Hopefuly one of the local-shop guys will lend a hand. It will be critical for me, as I'll be spending two weeks in a place without wifi.
By the way: is it necessary to have voice-call plan to get SMS messaging?
