My wife's 2+ year old phone had become too slow to use. no matter what I did(from factory reset to removing all unnecessary apps, The response was irritating...to open the calling screen, it used to take 2 minutes. To start typing a message, she had to wait for eternity!)
She somehow managed with it because of the emotional value (It was a birthday present from me). I was contemplating a replacement for it though and was on the lookout for a good phone.

I got an Oneplus invite on December 5th around 3PM. But I noticed it only on December 7th around 11AM. The invite being valid for 48 hours, I had only 4 hours remaining to make the buying decision...and in the end I took the plunge and ordered one Oneplus One (too many ones :D) within an hour left of the expiry of the invite

I was really excited and hence also went in for the the 99 rupees "One-day-delivery" option and so I got the phone on December 8th by noon.

Wow! from the packaging to the phone everything has a wonderful feel to it.
The 5.5 Inch 1080p screen came alive once it powered it on.
To top it off, The cyanogenmod 11 is super smooth and feature rich.
The 3GB RAM and Snapdragon801 processor ensures that nothing that my wife uses shows any signs of lag. The Quality of materials used is very good and it feel very good to hold it in hand. I just loved it.

Although it is 5.5 inch, the dimensions are such that, people with small hands also can operate easily. My wife was apprehensive seeing the 5.5inch spec on paper especially after seeing my Galaxy Note which is 5.3 inch but a lot wider and uncomfortable to hold. But when se held this, she was happy

The sandstone black back-cover is a nice and different feel but I somehow felt that after a few minutes it hand it tickles my hand and may not be to everybody's lacking.

All in all, its an amazing VFM I felt.

Ahh, forgot to mention earlier, I'm in the UK.

But it's the blue 32GB. My old phone was a Galaxy Nexus, so I had a big size difference between the two phones, however it wasn't too difficult for me to adjust. I can type one handed most of the time. But then, it all depends on the size of your hands.

People considering the Oneplus one, Cyanogen has said they will not be updating the Indian phones. One plus is supposedly working on a Lollipop based rom that the Indian phones could get. If having the latest software is important to you this could be a deal breaker.

But for the more adventurous, I don't think this should be a problem. Phone is already rooted and updating to another ROM should be a breeze.

I just ordered the OPO via an invite from wimwian (Tbhp Member). Initially, the news about CMS not being available for further support for the OPO seemed scary, but realized that OPO will be quickly out with their own version soon. Also, One can also manually update the CMS version as and when it is released. Are you aware if the Kit Kat 4.4.4 (Stock Android) can be flashed onto the OPO as well?
