Hi Promit, thanks Buddy.
The link provided by Naveenroy worked now (oneplusone site was down for sometime) and I have used his invite code.

You may share the invite with another BHP'ian who will benefit.

Thanks a lot.

If anyone has managed to book and doesn't want to proceed with purchase please let me know please:

I have one in my cart. If you still want let me know. I will be leaving my office in another 30 minutes.
Bottom line: If you want it, reply with in next 30 minutes :)

Naveen,

I just ordered the OPO via an invite from wimwian (Tbhp Member). Initially, the news about CMS not being available for further support for the OPO seemed scary, but realized that OPO will be quickly out with their own version soon. Also, One can also manually update the CMS version as and when it is released. Are you aware if the Kit Kat 4.4.4 (Stock Android) can be flashed onto the OPO as well?

Regards
Premjit

PS: I'm a banker, nowhere close to being remotely tech savvy. Hence, a bit scared.

Well, nothing to worry about. These days it is all point and click so even the not-so-tech-savvy can install ROMs, root etc their phones.

Your best place for information - http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one

You will see all ROM developments there. At a cursory glance, I even saw a build for Android 5 for this phone.

But I would suggest that you use the phone as you wish for as long as you want and only upgrade the ROM etc when needed.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone send me an invite for one plus.

Does anyone heard about Micromax's new launch YU phones which is for enthusiasts. It is coming with Cyanogenmode. Rooting phone does not void warranty as well as they (YU) will provide assistance also.

Hehehe, the mods are surely going to take note of this OnePlus invites and people asking. Perhaps we should post it up on the Giveaway thread - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...ow-bhpian.html

To all those guys who are using Oneplus One:

Are you successful in blocking a call via the settings with wildcard entry. I'm trying a lot, but it says invalid format while entering the number with suggested wildcard format. Need suggestions. Thanks.

I need to buy a basic, inexpensive Android phone (after having used an old fashioned Nokia for donkey's years :)) and have shortlisted these 3:

1. Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498
2. Micromax Canvas A1 with Android One
3. Moto E

Main requirements are decent battery life, good voice quality/clarity, WhatsApp. I'm not keen on gaming or on using/experimenting with too many apps. Internet usage will also be minimal, mostly restricted to FB, TBHP, Gmail and Google News. If it lasts more than a year or two, then that'll be icing on the cake.

I'm not too bothered with "has to be this or that brand". So, which one of the above would be the best fit?

Cheers,
Vikram

Don't look beyond Moto E for those requirements.

Anybody waiting for this? http://n1.nokia.com/en

or have invested in this? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/j...sourced-tablet

As you all know by now (sorry to mention it yet again <Blush>) Mrs G and I have both got Asus Fonepads.

As per previous posts, she also needs a new phone, and I wondered about the Asus Zenphone on the basis that it would give her (new to Android) a seamless experience across both devices. Main question is: Hows the camera on, say, the Zenphone 5? It's pretty bad on the Fonepad 2014, and it would be pointless getting two bad cameras.

Heads up guys

Nexus 6 is now available on play store. Ordered 32Gb midnight blue edition. (the only one available) estimated shipping - End of Jan, 2015

I own a Zenfone 5 and can say that the camera is very good (atleast by my standards). 2MP front camera and 8 MP for the rear one. The low light pics are good enough if not great. Outdoor shots are fantastic.:thumbs up. The only grouse is the low shutter speed which makes picture taking a little painful exercise.
