If camera is your priority and you keep your phones for long, then Pixel is a no-brainer. Much better camera than any other phone in that price, and it will keep getting better with vanilla Android upgrades.

Just hold off until the pixel 4a is out and the 3a series will be sold at a bargain.

Precisely. OnePlus 7t makes more sense than buying OP8. Even OP 7t pro is a better buy than OP 8. Also, 7t pro is now available at 48k on one plus site. A discount of 6k over regular price. I am expecting 7t to get a discount too as soon as amazon starts selling after lockdown.

If 4a is anything like 3a and Google decides to skimp on the battery then it's a no go for me. Really suffering with my galaxy S9. Very very poor battery. So no more poor battery phones for me, for example pixel 4XL!

Heard only good things about the 3a XL battery life so it is interesting. It just got a 10k reduction in price which is sweet. So you think price will go down further?

Compare the fab process, not just the battery size. S9 is Exynos 10nm vs the 4XL's 7nm. You could wait for the Huawei 5nm... Just kidding!:)

4XL has the 7nm QCOM 855 but it's battery still sucks. Almost every review out there trashes it.

So it's not just the fab process. 3aXL has same size battery as 4XL (3700 mAH) but it is considerably better in this regard.

Samsung S9 has a tiny battery and that is why we have to suffer (mine is almost 2 yr old now so that's another factor, backup is no more what it used to be)

Strange. I get a full day with the 3a and the charging is quite fast so its a non issue for me.

I do think the pricing will go down further when the pixel 4a launches. But if you cant stand the wait, just get it.

If someone is sitting on a fence like me whether to buy OP8, pro or simply 7t. Going by last years product cycle One plus will launch the 8T and 8T pro in August. So, we can wait till then. Or the upcoming One plus Z by June could offer better value. Considering so many uncertainties due to Corona situation I will surely hold off my new phone purchase till June. Though I am highly tempted to buy OP8 pro.

Also, too many early buyers on Redditt have reported issues with their screens on OP8 pro. One plus is admittedly looking into it. So, better to wait and watch.

+1

Easily get a day or more with my Pixel 3a. Agreed it's not with the fastest processor or with the best battery around but then the Pixel is not about numbers. It's about maximizing the numbers. The 12 mega pixel camera on the Pixel has beaten numerous other higher specced competitors. That said the competition has now caught up, as compared to an year back when I got my 3a.

Pixel pricing in India is terrible though. Got mine from US, where it was priced around 399$ at launch.

Agree with you on both battery and price points.
I have been wondering how is this tiny battery pulling this long. I get atleast 1½ day and if in full network area stretches to almost 2nd day. clap:

I updated my Oneplus 7 to Beta 11 a few weeks ago and then to Beta 12 recently. Although Beta 12 was pulled by Oneplus after there were reports of the phone not unlocking after the update, my phone works just fine.

But then I'd like to get out of the Beta stream eventually. The phone has all my work related apps like Microsoft Authenticator so I want it to be as stable as possible. I tried updating with a manually downloaded stable version, but the updater says I can't downgrade. I might have to flash via recovery but that means losing all my data.

Is there a way to update to a stable version without losing data? Do these beta versions later culminate into a stable version which I can update to? If yes, I don't mind waiting a couple of months.

Didn't fantom using mobile held together with cello tape. 4 days ago it fell on the floor. This prolly was nth time and the last one with a piece of display coming out and partly splitting open.
Power button is kaput and have to tap the taped up screen few times to bring it back.

All the crying to check if anyone knows earliest we can get mobiles online. Am in b'lore

To move from Beta version to stable version, you will have to wipe your phone, which means data will be lost. Take a backup and proceed. You can use OnePlus Switch for backing up the data and restoring it.

The last version of the Beta is what comes as the stable version. Only the version number changes.

Sorry for one liner. You can check www.tatacliq.com

Received a message in WhatsApp that Tata has started their shopping website.
So posted here.
I don't have any commercial interest with the above website.

Edit
I had seen Buy Now Button is visible on the above website for Smartphones.

If you value your privacy dont buy Xiaomi Phones. Article published in Forbes show's it records so much of what you do and send's it to Servers located in China.

It even records stuff you do in "Incognito" mode on the default Browser shipped with the Phone. The worse part of it is that when they were shown evidence gathered by the cybersecurity specialists they had the audacity to blatantly deny everything.

They seem to have zero respect for user privacy and seem to be arrogant enough think they to go and do as they please. I for one will never buy a Xiaomi Phone and discourage friends and family from buying one too.
